|
|
Hello, my first post here. I played SWD6 back in high school a couple years back started running a game. One thing I found most frustrating was searching for specific ships/races/etc in the Thiago Aranha pdfs. So after a bit of work I have an initial search up for ships just for now. Parsing that data is a real nightmare. Consider it very alpha, but please take a look and give me your thoughts

Interesting. Looking forward to seeing the complete project. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Oh wow. Now this is a neat little tool for picking a ship for your party. Thanks for sharing your work! _________________ __________________________________

This is pretty neat.
Do you have plans to include crew numbers as a searchable component? |

That was something I was looking for as well.
Looks good otherwise, though. _________________ __________________________________

Oops, didn't realize I'd missed the crew stuff. I've added it now. |

Oh, and I don't know if people noticed (I need to add help tips to the page), but if you click the arrow on the headers in the grid you can choose other fields to display in the grid. Handy when trying to find a good combination.
Maybe some day I'll implement a side by side comparison tool.
I also figure I'll try to make the data available for export once it's cleaned up enough so people can create their own databases/spreadsheets. Parsing that data out of the PDF is a nightmare |
