Anyone know any examples of human populated Ice planets? _________________ His eyes are shifty. That's how you know the nerf did it. |

I can't think of any planets off the top of my head, but I can offer the moon of Halanit. That's got a somewhat narrow period of usefulness though, with the colony being wiped out in the book it appears in. |

Neftail near Socorro has a population of 15000 humans and whiphids, so that is one you can use. They go into it in both the black sands of Socorro and wretched hives of scum and villainy |

Or than the one mentioned in the Bacta war, most other Ice planets i have heard of are uninhabited. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Having poked at Wookieepedia, I can offer up the list of planets. What you want to do is click the arrows up top to get the list sorted by climate, scroll down to the group of ice planets (or icy planets, depending on the page), then look over at the Inhabitants column to check for listings of humans. If it's got an etc. on it, go ahead and check the article. And then you, um, repeat this for each letter of the rest of the alphabet.
Ando Prime seems solid.
Alzoc III shows up on the list, but the human population seems to be entirely Imperial military.
Akuria II shows up on the list, but the human population seems to be the result of either Imperial or Rebel bases.
Anteevy looks like another solid possibility.
What is it that you want the planet for, anyhow? |

So,
Any suggestions for ice world predators besides wampas in my games? I figure I can explain the tauntauns by the idea that rebels transport them there for their own personal use. But I love having monsters pop up and attack both sides, wampas are the obvious choice. Since my games take place on other arctic theaters in the galactic civil war, wild rampaging wampas are out. |

Try using ice modrols, they are large like Wampas and are similar in abilities. Look in black sands of socorro for stats. A good smaller one is the jexel which is a medium sized perdatory cat. Info on it can be found in wretched hives of scum and villinary. |

Thanks for the ideas everyone. The snow mynock is a great idea. Variants on mynocks could appear on any planet, so I could reuse the figures on other campaigns. I also like the visual look of the hoth hog. There's lots of wild boar minis out there, all I'd have to do is putty-up a shaggy pelt on their backs. I mean lets face it, I'm gonna have to make a wampa because it IS Star Wars, but these other critters look great. |
