Hi all been super busy moving the past few weeks, but I finally had time to snap some pics of my new basement... about an hour before the first game night in our new venue.
Now I just need to catch up on a month's worth of posts here on the Pit!

Thank you! I built that about 3 years ago during my 2 weeks leave from my deployment, I just really needed to build something.
Full 8x4 chalkboard top, grided with 1" squares. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." The Brain |

Oh you ruined it. Chalkboard top. I have rules.
No chalk
No sand
No Playdough
No glitter
Now a 1" dry erase top would be great. |

Dry erase markers lasts a year or two at the most, a box of chalk has lasted 13 so far. You would need to use paint markers to do the lines. The Sharpies I used on mine would be wiped out by the dry erase markers.
Hey, use what works for you. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." The Brain |

Sounds like it might have been better to have it stay 'disassembled' upstairs then build it down there.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

That is quite possibly the best gaming table I've ever seen.
I also compliment you on your choice of a practical carpet for your gaming basement. Because it really is a good choice and we've pretty well flogged the table thing to an untimely death. _________________ Aha! |

Thank you.
Other than a few rugs (one under the gaming table to reduce dice skitter, and one in my painting room to catch spills), the floor is Nature Stone. We had the chance to get it done and went for it. Seriously, the wet basment smell was gone in three days. I started moving shelves in 48 hours after instalation was started. Mostly level floors in my game room are kind of a novelty for me. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." No way! The Wife has veto power on all decorating above the basement. Down here I can truly let my inner gamer geek go nuts. 8) _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." Your not understanding me. Rather than take the heavy table down fully constructed, you should have taken it down in pieces, then build it.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Nature Stone? That's way cooler (and much more practical) than carpet. I'd heard of products like this but have never seen them up close. Now I'll definitely keep it in mind for my next project. Many thanks! _________________ Aha! |

Oh, I got ya now. I built it 3 years ago at the old house. When we moved I removed the legs, but the double table and boxing make just the tabletop a beast. Unfortunately, thats as much as I could disassemble without risking structural issues in reassembly. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children."
