|
|
Okay so me and my player are at a stalemate.
avenues of the discussion:
Boba Fett's armor has no dex penalty and his weapons use different skills.
The standard bounty hunter suit doesn't have a penalty either, doesn't list and strength enhancement, and yet is labeled as a powersuit.
Many other powersuits state that it uses the powersuit operation but have no enhancers and some do and do not have penalties.
Smasher armor has servos but isn't listed as a powersuit, and doesn't say anything about using the skill.
The argument now is along the lines of wanting to remove the dex penalty from all powersuits because it doesn't apply so there's no point.
Some suits label that using their weapons is a powersuit operations roll.
Some suits label that using their weapons is a armor weapons operations roll.
Some suits label that using their weapons is a miscellaneous weapons operations.
What Am I to do? because hes got a damn point - why DOESN"T the standard bounty hunter armor have a dex penalty - and why is it labeled as a powersuit when there is no reason to think it is?
why are some suits WITH enhancers (which by the way is the reason for the use of powersuit operations as it is defined in the corebook rules.) NOT use powersuit operations and isn't labeled as one? |

Sounds like typical WEG to me. My advice? Keep what works, tear the rest of it down and build your own concept with whatever works for you. Then post it here for the rest of us to pick apart and help you fine tune it. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Yup. Game stats should never be viewed as inviolable canon. If it doesn't make sense as-is, then just change it. _________________ *

Fet's armor has no dex penalties cause imo its highly modified and he has bought them off.
As to why some suits use "power suit ops, versus armor weapon, or missile/what ever weapon skill", while others don't.. IMO editing errors where no one thought to check prior book(s) to see what was done. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
