IMO that would be silly, like the Mortis story was.

Way ahead of you pal. The history of the Whills goes back to the Celestials (with a step in between), and a possible origin of the Celestials themselves may even be uncovered in the Whills Nebula Campaign, which will have a significant archaeological aspect heavily influenced by Indiana Jones and Ancient Aliens ("ancient" in a SW perspective generally meaning pre-Republic). My personal SWU GM timeline currently starts at about 1,035,000 years before TPM. _________________ *

There is always the trope of the powerful being who doesn't want to concern himself, and it is the task of the PCs to somehow convince it. The one that occurs to me right off the bat is the Ents in The Two Towers. They don't want to get involved, but if you hurt their trees...
Are you using the Thayarr from D6 Space Aliens for your Whills, or did you come up with something else?

That works. Indiana Jones is ripe for a Star Wars crossover, perhaps with elite Imperial units in the role of Nazis, seeking out powerful mystical artifacts or beings to put to use by the Empire, without consideration for the fact that what they seek may object to being used in such a fashion. With Rebel or Republic ops teams playing the role of Indiana Jones and his friends in a race to keep the Empire from taking control of said artifacts.
I know if I ever get around to doing an Alien Crossover (apart from the basic stats), I was planning on using the Engineers from Prometheus as Celestials. Incorporating the two ideas would make the Engineers pre-ascended beings, as in this is what they were before they evolved into beings of energy... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. My conception of the Whills predates D6 Space Aliens. The primary source of inspiration was my own personal mythology. I just got the term hypersapient from D6 Space Aliens (I do love that book). I'll have to reread the entry on Thayarr. _________________ *
