The material That made the armor of the sun crusher? I ponder the thought about about 4 molecules thick, for a sword blade. Because of the density it might weigh as much as a "normal" sword. It would be much sharper. Don't know about toughness.

I'm confused what you mean. Are you positing what a melee weapon would be like if it was made out of the same material as the Sun Crusher?

If it were me, I'd just have it make the weapon indistructable without any other bonuses or modifiers.

I don't see why you think it would make the blade "Sharper" if anything, it would be more dense and more blunt because of the layered molocules.

Of course, this would also mean the weapon was unmodifiable, and I certainly wouldn't allow it to be anything complicated like a Vibro Weapon or a Blaster.

So, you'd basically have a normal sword that just happens to be indestructable. Dunno why anyone would bother making one.

Was talking about making the blade 4 molecules thick.
If the material would be strong anuff. That would be sharp.

A sword that could parry a lightsaber that didn't require dark side to use or make.

A sword that's 4 molocules thick is pretty ludicrous.

Also, if you're looking for materials that don't require the dark stide there are plenty. Cortis-Weave and Mandalorian Iron are two I can think of off the top of my head.

Oddly enough, the hull of the Sun Crusher is an alloy composed of ludicrum, stupiditum, unrealisticum and facepalmium, all of which are common elements in novels written by Kevin J. Anderson.

However, if you specified that a blade made of this material was sharpened to an edge only a few molecules thick, that might be more believable.

Is there a name for this alloy. Sadly I believe my life may sometimes be composed of the same alloy.

I do agree with you on Kevin's novels though.

WTFmium, while easy to make it requires the metallurgist to have 0D in both Pride and Talent, so few beings in the SW universe actually qualify... Rolling Eyes

Rofl

The 4 molecules was to be absurd.

Well the Cortis-weave is to soft to make a weapon, and it sounded like mandalorians didn't use the iron for weapons.

There are Numerous examples of Cortosis-Weave weapons in the KOTOR series of games.

Similarly there are many examples of Mandalorian Iron such as the Baskad. It's not that it isn't used in weapons, it's really just that it's not really more effective then other kinds of metals (except for the fact that it's not cut by lightsabers).

The thing is that both these types of weapons are rare (at least by the time of the movies) so you won't see them very often. However, if you want to have a character who can parry with a jedi, you could always just say "He has an antique Cortosis Weave blade" or "He carries a sword of Mandalorian Iron."

Either way, it's still way more common then the material the Sun Crusher was made of which I am pretty sure was invented in the Maw and then never really used after that.
