I am loving the book, but one thing I seeing an issue with already, the tables that are orange are incredibly difficult to read. They will be fine when printed greyscale, but in color? I would encourage you to look into perhaps a different color or darken a few shares?
Also, you cannot print a locked document out on Lulu. I mentioned in a previous post, perhaps you can release like was done with REUP.
GG16 (ebook edition)
GG16 (print edition) which would be unlock and have no covers.
I would also encourage creating a wraparound cover for both trade paperback and hardcover for interior printing in either color or greyscale. These are only suggestions, do not think for a second I am not impressed and very excited about it. I read the b6 and chatted with you on SWR! Congrats on the baby too. _________________ Don Diestler

The opening paragraph from Gnost-Dural; shouldn't the word 'Master' have a capital M?
And in the paragraph about Corellia; 'Coronet city' should read 'Coronet City' |

Sorry to nit pick but I found that in the fringe section on page 94, the picture of Vette blocks out some of the stats on blizz and some of the info on Vette. This is a well made book and I love it. |

No worries, nitpick away!
Sounds like you're seeing some issues with PNG transparency. I thought I corrected all of those; must be a compatibility issue.
Noted! |

Shouldn't Yuun be Force-Sensitive considering he's a Gand Findsmen?
(I believe I mentioned this a while back.) |

One of the planets was described as having "mountainous plains", which is a contradiction in terms. I'll look it up and update when I have some downtime later.
EDIT: Ord Mantell.
Also, I know this is way late in the game, but given WEG's pattern of publication, (and the sheer size of this time), might it be more appropriate to call this The Old Republic Sourcebook, and reserve GG16 for the perennially postponed Revenge of the Sith Galaxy Guide? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Not only is it too late, but the RotS GG must be GG17 to maintain the every odd GG pattern for the films. _________________ *

I can confirm the image of Vettte on p.94 does indeed need a resizing. It is not his program. Can you please confirm this so I can either tell people we have no idea what is going or that it will be fixed in the update? _________________ Don Diestler

No, I've seen this before. It appears some versions of PDFs really don't like transparent PNG images. I'll have to plan around that and remove them from the next edition. No big deal. |

I am looking forward to when you get the first or second round of errata done so I can print this beast off. _________________ Don Diestler

First off, great work on this.
Before I get to what I want to say, I have a question to ask. With the Jedi and Sith, you seem to have a preference for giving them control another's disease. If the Jedi were a healer, then fine. Among Jedi who aren't healers, like Satele, then I wouldn't raise that much of a issue. But I saw a good number of Sith with this power. Why is that? Just curious.
Now, when I looked at the stats for the creatures, I compared them to the stats listed in the conversions for the Saga sourcebooks that have been published on these forums. I would think that you looked at them for stats in order to lighten your work load. For a number of familiar creatures, like the wampa and the tauntaun, your stats matches the stats listed in previous works. Here's are the creatures where your stats are different from those listed in previous works: acklay, akk dog, dewback, kath hound, nexu, shyrack, terentatek, thranta, tuk'ata, varactyl, and womp rat.
On a similar note, a d6 conversion for T3-M4 was listed in the D6 conversion for Knights of the Old Republic Sourcebook. But your stats are different. In both cases, is it a case of author's creativity prerogative?
Finally, with the planets, I think you might want to check the Wookiepedia for their entries. I think some of them might have the wrong name for the system in which they are in. |
