The X-wing. Pure, classical beauty. Also, the SSD- simple, clean, epic. _________________ Star Wars: Marvels, the audio drama: www.nolinecinemas.com

I to like the look of the x-wing but I awlays thought that the y-wing is a pretty good looking ship, a strong workhorse of the alliance fleet. Also if you look at what it should look like with all its armor on it is very sleek. But the most beautiful fighter in my opinion is the a-wing, very sleek and fast as well as deadly. |

I like the Scimitary Assault Bomber compared with the TIE. _________________ His eyes are shifty. That's how you know the nerf did it. |

I guess the tie beauty is in its simplicity of design and systems, i also love the tie but mostly because of it numerous variants. |

I do like the Baudo; nice, organic lines.
Personally, I also like the SoroSuub Horizon-class Star Yacht, specifically, the Jade Shadow.
I've also always liked the Corellian YT-1930; it's newer than the often HEAVILY overused 1300, and the design has just always spoken to me...

The 1930 does have a great look but part of me thinks the true beauty of the 1300 is that it is so prevalent in the galaxy. |

True; but that's also part of the appeal, for me, of the 1930. It's NOT that prevalent in the galaxy, so it has a bit of a more specialized fan base. IMHO, anyway. |

Yeah, I'll be honest, I never liked the overall look of the 1300. It looks rather Flying saucerish. _________________ His eyes are shifty. That's how you know the nerf did it. |

Most ships in the yt series have the saucer look to them, it gives the ship character. |

Gonna be honest, every time I run into a YT-1300 in game I shudder. Not because its a bad ship, not because its ugly (I don't find either to be the case), but because with hundreds of different ships available it feels lazy. It feels like they can use the YT-1300 because it is "common" and no one will complain or think twice about it. The Ford F series may have more registered vehicles on the road than anyone else in the US, but they still represent less than 5% of the vehicles on the road (and that is a series, like the YT series, rather than a particular year/model). In our books the YT 1300 is probably closer to 30 to 40% of the total freighters we see, which is just plain silly.
At this point in playing Star Wars my characters will go for anything but a YT 1300 when picking up a ship. The surest way to keep me from trying to steal yours is to pick a YT 1300. _________________ "She's tore up plenty, but she'll fly true." |

I don't disagree with you, but at least it's well stated that the YT-1300 is a very common freighter.
Don't get me wrong, I add in different ships myself just to keep things interesting, but it doesn't break my immersion if there's a YT-1300 that looks just like the Millenium Falcon just because the Millenium Falcon is intentionally made to look like the numerous other YT-1300s out there.
That being said, just on a aestetic level. I find the YT-1300 ugly as crap. Although, I think that's what they were going for in the design. It really does look like an ugly trash heap, soooo mission accomplished? _________________ His eyes are shifty. That's how you know the nerf did it. |
