I would think Species as a specialization of First Aid would be more appropriate...
In the past, I have considered giving out free bonus pips in focused specializations, such as the specific ship the characters fly or repair, or a specific model of blaster. Maybe in the realm of +1 per adventure / campaign to keep it from rolling up too quick (and maybe a cap of +1D or +2D to keep it from getting out of hand), but enough to represent a character's familiarity with a piece of equipment with which they have become intimately familiar. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. True, but not all baddies i have are human. Some pirate groups are alien, so their "Troops will also be aliens, just different mixes".. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
