For game purposes, just allow Lightsaber Combat to be used with a Sith Sword.

If you really want to make it trippy... use a variation of "Trusting to the Darkside" where if they succeed at making a difficulty using 1D for each DSP they have, they may split their DSP as +1D per DSP to skill roll and/or damage...

I also like the idea of possibly having a hit from a powerful Dark Side character wielding such a sword causing a Dark Side infection that a character must try to purge as if it were a DSP (make them more prone to getting a DSP, increases temptations of the dark side, increases difficulty for non-darkside force use) though this should more likely be a special power for a special character and a major story/plot event...

I had a sith sword that "sang" to a force sensitive character and whispered in his ear trying to entice him to use it... Wink

IIRC one of our sparks modules, has something in it where a sith sword that wounds (or worse) a PC needs a certain force power used to 'cleans the taint' before healing can even be attempted.

I'd think that would simply be either one of, or THE effect the Sith Alchemy wrought on the sword, rather than an effect caused by the wielder...unless it was some dark side power.

Also a possibility to achieve the same effect. Which could have even additional, long-term story uses. Such as, the players have encounter with someone wielding such Sith sword, one player is wounded, and weather the players think they killed the villain or had to flee...somewhere down the road, at some spaceport somewhere, the player who had this infected wound suddenly finds it acting up (cleansed or not...for drama purposes) and it has sinister implications Wink

Is it the same villain?
Did someone else find the sword?
Does the sword "remember" the wound?
How are they connected?
Does it point to the Dark Side (and thus the Light Side) of the force really having a will of it's own?
What must be done to destroy this Sith artifact?
What affect will destroying the Artifact have on the ones touched by it?

Nice questions. One could even go the route that LOTR had with the sword used by the Wraith on Frodo. Where when the sword was near the WOUND remembered.

Actually in LOTR, the Morgul Blade disintegrated after stabbing Frodo, he felt pain on the anniversary of the wound.

The old, animated version of Lord of the Rings may have inspired some of my thoughts. I do recall it being mentioned a piece of the blade was still within the wound and would slowly poison him. I watched that so many times as a kid (though I preferred the Rankin and Bass versions of the Hobbit and Return of the King).

Furthermore, there could also possibly be a Sith Alchemy that could instill a power into the blade that gives the wielder the ability to possess their victim. Done right, this ability would have to be actively triggered by the wielder. In order to make it more balanced game-wise, I'd probably make the power permanent, meaning that if the wielder takes control of a victim he strikes with the sword, it acts like Transfer Life, taking control of the victim. As per the power description, the victim would get an opposing roll; if successful, then I'd say the backlash should do damage to the sword wielder.
