Wanted to make a magic system for D6 was based on an attribute.
Magic skills would be advanced skills.
You would have elements that your char had access too to use. Bought like powers.
The attribute would be used to resist the damage magic would cause your mind or body when you used it.
Still working on the details. |

Take a look at the Witches of Dathomir for an example of how you might pull it off. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Check out the D6 Magic book. It uses a Metaphysical attribute in place of Force Sensitive. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Do you want the magic to have a fantasy feel, or more of a Dathomirian magic feel? _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |

Can you point me to the area in the book that covers the attribute?
I am looking at trying to duplicate the magic from the dresden files series of books.
I was looking at flexible casting. You can make it as you go, but if you use a common spell you can cast it faster. |

In that case, use the Metaphysics attribute from D6 Space. It includes Difficulty modifiers for material components, words and gestures, then use the D6 Magic book to fill in material. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Thank you, this is helping. Lot of reading to do, lot of organization, and testing. |

IIRC it was Cracken's threat Dossier that had the rules for Dathomirian witches. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
