Hey, that's fantastic!
Thanks, Spince!
This helps a bunch. Recently I've become interested in archiving and preserving this stuff. For example, on the Holonet forums I've run across listings for up to a dozen interesting net.guides, all with dead links. Id hate to think all this stuff has been swallowed by the void .
This is our heritage! |

Does anyone actually have this bit of work and if so, can they share? _________________ No matter where you go, there you are... |

It doesn't exist. Even those here who have been in the SW internet community since early on do not have a copy of this. I have read about this fanbook but no one still in the SW RPG community has a copy of it, so if it did ever exist, it is not being shared so lost to the community at large. If any of us had it, there would be a thread about it and it would be shared. It would be big news. I'm choosing the skeptical view on this one - Until it surfaces, I choose to believe it doesn't exist. I hope I am proven wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up for it. _________________ *

Indeed. There is an article on Gamblers in one of the Adventure Journals IIRC. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Adventure Journal No.4, p106-134, article was called "It's a Gambler's life" _________________ "For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble." |

Yeah, it's pretty cool just not that in depth. It did inspire me to create some new PC templates based on the ideas there.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Wait, you saw a link to this legendary fanmade GG? Where? _________________ *

There was a thread AAAAAGES ago that tried to re-create it. However, like many fan-made sourcebooks, it never made it off the ground. _________________ __________________________________

Not sure if anyone has it, but while re-downloading a list of D6 netbooks, I found that I was missing an old favorite. Does anyone have a copy of the jedi handbook or know where I can find a copy? |

Now that school is done, I should have some time to contribute.
The areas in which I feel comfortable contributing are artwork (characters mainly... I'm not very good at equipment/diagram type drawings) and stats. But what is actually needed? |
Mojomoe wrote: | I've currently got it slated to finish both of these...
The ROTS guide needs the most work, but it's mainly editing and layout.
TPM needs a lot of stat rework, mostly because many of the fan stats have been re-written from scratch since then and are no longer in keeping with much of the established source material. |
Forceally wrote: | I think the ROTS should be the focus of the next Galaxy Guide. Granted there's a thread in the forums dealing with it, and in that thread a lot of the characters' stats have been presented. However, because the powers that be decided to make all the novels and comics focusing on the Clone Wars null and void in light of the 2008 Clone Wars movie, I think more than half of them need to be reworked to account for the Clone Wars TV series. The only stats that are completely safe are for the characters that made their debut in ROTS, and most of them are politicians. |
Mojomoe wrote: | Can you elaborate? What stats are invalidated?
Which does remind me, we also need a Clone Wars comprehensive guide. |
I thought I should direct this discussion to this thread. Please carry on. Thanks. _________________ *
