Is this an airspeeder or a landspeeder? If it is an airspeeder, the maximum altitude should be more than 1m.

Did you intend to have a value under Cargo, or was it mean to be ambiguous in terms of how many kilograms?

Yes I did, I just didn't know what I was going to put. Probably a trunk space. Yes the cargo is attached on the outside, but its not designed for it. So I will put in a certain amount "designed" space specifically for carrying cargo. Going to go with trunk space, 120 kilograms.

Is this an airspeeder or a landspeeder? The stat lists it as both. If it is an airspeeder, the maximum altitude should be more than 1m.

Yeah I know. This is a hard one for me. Sources list it as an airspeeder yet in the show I have seen it three times and it is used as landspeeder even when it would have tactically been better to be higher than at ground level.

So I am stuck. Do I create it using what information I have seen so far and assume that "airspeeder" was incorrect in its information? Or do I develop it as though it was indeed a typical "airspeeder" and though I have not seen it used this way, do so any way?

I would point out that everytime we have seen airspeeders in the movies they have been flying at low altitudes and landspeeders at ground level. I am open to suggestions however.

I know we're dealing with the "new canon", but if it looks like a lanspeeder and acts like a landspeeder, I would call it a landspeeder, regardless of what the sources say. Of course, I tend to be somewhat suspicious of official sources in the SWU...

I try not to get caught up in names. I pay more attention to what it does then work from there.

You could put a question mark after Airspeeder, that way it shows you're not any more certain than the rest of us. Smile Wink

Yeah, I haven't seen the episodes where the thing is featured, so my opinion is probably not worth a whole lot here. My guess from the picture alone is that it conforms mostly to the design of land speeders, rather than an air speeder.

I've been looking around at a few different cars' trunk spaces. Several are giving you between 15-19 cubic feet. Roughly 28,000 cubic centimeters. That's 28 kilograms of water.

So, 30-40 kg of cargo space?

If we want to do this more as an empirical experiment, we could just start pouring two-liters of Mountain Dew into the trunk of Dan's car, and when it's full we count up the empty bottles.

Chesire, you better got get the Mountain Dew.

One cubic foot is 28317 cubic centimeters. 15-19 cubic feet would be 424,755-538,000 cubic centimeters, or 0.424-0.538 cubic meters. Since water has a mass of 1 ton/cubic meter, you could fit about half a ton in the truck. Or 424-538 kg water.

It's not really the weight, though it's the volume. One thing I liked, which they did in a couple of places but not consistently was give a volume for cargo capacity as well as a mass.
