Don't sweat it.
Though that makes you wonder. When it did crash would there have been much public uproar afterwards (like here on earth after natural disasters) for support of the Wookies? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I was more on about outsiders, the Republic etc making waves about the disaster. Not the wookies. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I was going to make a Wookiee Roar joke, but see you beat me to it, Zarn! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

This is why I love it here! The other half of an awesome house rule is starting to come together.
In the Problems with star destroyers being ... destroyed http://www.rancorpit.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4936&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45
I was running with the idea of SF scale weapons only having localized effects on C scale ships, and C scale ships having an almost area effect type attack on SF scale ships.
The idea of sectioning off areas of a C scale ship for localized attack with lesser hull dice, my be the other half of what I was thinking of.
Thank You!
Now I just need to shoe horn this into the RAW so it fells right, but the Idea is there.
Each C scale weapon implacement would need to be treated as a SF scale target. SF scale attacks on SF scale weapons on a C scale ship would affect D6 implacements
Other major C scale systems; shields, engines, Hyperdrive... would require 6D worth of SF scale destroyed or disabled to bring down. (GMs can fudge this number higher for larger ships as needed.)
C scale ship could target a squadron of fighters as a C scale target, resulting in equivilant SF scale damage spread around a squadron of SF scale ships, as they take up a C scale area of space and a formation would be needed to combine fire on a C scale ship.
Break formation and the C scale ship cant target the formation as a C scale target, but the squadron cant combine fire on a C scale target.
Enemy SF scale ships, are used to cause SF scale targets to break formation and not be a threat to C scale ships.
and thus it is possible for a X-wing to bring down the forward shields on a Super SD, as he brought the total of SF scale destruction up to the previously rolled 6D. Incoming A-wing crash then takes out the now unshielded and already damaged almost up to its 6D bridge and down goes Fraiser!
Hash marks of destruction on individual systems replace, in part the additional 6D to hull for C scale targets.
This may finally fix the stupidity that comes of S scale or W scale facing SF scale. This needs far more work to run smoothly.
Forgive my house rule exposition, please continue! _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." The Brain |
