Those of you who listen to the Shooting Womprats podcast probably know about the new magazine that people have been putting together. Contributors from this forum, the D6 G+ community and a few other places have come together to provide a new Star Wars D6 periodical, inspired by the Star Wars Adventure Journal.

Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |

Looks good so far. Have not got to read though everything but other than a slight consistency problem with capitalization (species names, particularly in character templates) it looks pretty sharp. _________________ http://swfallingstar.podbean.com

We are looking for submissions guys. Short articles, serial article, short fiction, ideas of all kinds.
Another thing we are in serious need of is art. Any type of art. Quick and dirty line-art is fine.
We have not worked it out yet, but I believe we will have an writer/artist biography section with whatever information contributors feel comfortable sharing with the world.
Questions? Let us know. _________________ Don Diestler

At some point I could probably contribute. I've written professionally before (for a few magazines, like Star Wars Gamer), and - at least back in the day - could do decent art.
Problem is finding the time. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

No particular theme for issue 2, we are accepting submissions for any content that anyone has.
We were considering doing a theme for each issue but it proved harder to match up the content and meant that we could have contributions that we would not be able to use for several issues... So we did the Life Day theme for issue 1, and we may do a theme in the future for a particular issue, but for now we're looking for any and all contributions.

As Ty stated no theme for issue no. 2. Those interested in supplying material can do so by emailing us at shootingwomprats@gmail.com. We are looking for any type of submissions (character write-ups, planet profiles, ships, equipment, fiction, adventures, optional rules, etc).
Current schedule for issue no. 2 is:
Intents: Jan-12
Rough Draft: Feb-9
Final Draft: Mar-16
Release: Apr-3
I think the only thing currently submitted is the adventure "A Promise Made," set directly after the events of Return of the Jedi and involves a little of the first attempt to liberate Kashyyyk from the Empire. Trying to line up a person to write the fiction end of this.
I believe there will be an introduction of the Aurek-Team with accompanying adventure and short fiction.
Beyond those two things I don't think anyone has posted their intents. _________________ Don Diestler

For Wild Space issue 2, I suggest reducing the character blocks for (minor) NPCs. Though it's nice to have complete-ish character sheets for PCs and major NPCs, the format you've chosen for, say, the stormtroopers on page 12, eats into your layout space.
Most Adventurer's Journals and already published WEG modules have examples of the reduced character block that I'm referring to.
I also noticed that there was some confusion between Felon and Fellon when referring to Felloniwuk.
Something that would've been cool, might be a header or a footer stating which section you're in. I kept referring back to the index to check where one section stopped and the next started.
In the Trandoshan adventure, Crashing the Party, I find that it is somewhat unneeded to repeat the story factors of Trandoshans for each Trandoshan character described.
I particularly enjoyed the Malicrux sector writeup, complete with illustrations for each planet. The poster on page 78 was genius - I'll have to frame that and put it on my wall. |
