				| Ok, so after playing this game for a while, I realize I have been winging it on the availability of equipment. I was wondering where I would find the rules for what the equipment availability codes mean.
I am assuming it is a table I keep glossing over at 2:00 am, but I'm stumped.
Up until now I just went with my gut, to suit my game...

 Thanks in advance.

				| Cost Chart in the first edition Source Book has them, and I believe the cost chart in the second edition (blue Vader book) has them as well _________________

Yep, glossed over that chart while skimming months ago.
Thanks, thought I was going nutz.

				| Its also on page 263 of the revised rule book.

  	  | Quote: | | Equipment Reference Tables Availability: This lists where equipment can be found. These
codes are general guidelines and local factors may affect an item's
 availability.
1 Readily available throughout the known galaxy.
2 Normally available only in large cities and space ports, or on
 the item's planet of origin.
3 Specialized item, normally only available on item's planet of
 origin.
4 Rare item, difficult to obtain anywhere.
F Fee or permit often required for purchase.
R Restricted item on most planets and normally may not be
 sold without a license.
X Illegal on most planets. Possession and use generally violates
Imperial, New Republic or local laws except for specially authorized
individuals. Penalties for use of such an item are often severe.

The one thing i really wish they would have done with Availability codes, was sort of charted out what streetwise/bargaining/info gathering rolls would be needed to acquire them.

I think the skill descriptions themselves give good enough guidelines.

				| I too am glad somebody posted the page number. I remember searching and searching and searching to find it one time, and found it really hard to locate (you'd think it would be at the start of the equipment section)
I think all of the info is on the GM Screen, too (though that's a pretty expensive, tough item to find for most; I was pretty lucky in getting mine some time ago).
