Not that I am aware of. Its all been hyperspace. If your looking for additional drive types you may look at Open D6 Space or Open D6 Ships both free on DriveThruRPG. _________________ Don Diestler

Nope, and seeing as in lore only one sect of force users have access to it and they are usually very secretive, i don't think there even needs to be a write up for it. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

If you decide to make Fold Space, I'd recommend using it as a plot device rather than something that a player character can do 'at will'. As such, it doesn't need much in the way of stats.
If you do decide to stat it up, it is essentially a teleport - and therefore slightly beyond the usual tech level in Star Wars, which usually does not include transporters (but does include stargates).
So, have a Control + Sense + Alter roll, where you base your difficulties on:
Sense - look at Farseeing's table, this is to zero in on where you want to go, and it's likely Heroic +.
Control + Alter - moving from here to there, bypassing the intervening space. Probably the same as Farseeing, but tack on something like a +20 or something.
Or, just keep the Farseeing difficulties as-is, and say that it costs a FP to pull this power off. |

When I saw this thread, the first thing I thought of was Dune.
It's not official WEG, but Force power was converted from Saga to D6 in the Jedi Academy Training Manual D6 Conversion.
Quote: | Fold Space
Alter Difficulty: Very Difficult, modified by proximity
Sense Difficulty: Difficult, modified by proximity
Required Powers: Magnify senses, life sense, life detection, instinctive astrogation, instinctive astrogation control.
Time to use: Five minutes
Effect: This power allows a Jedi to bend space and send objects through the fold, transporting them without aid of transports. If the object being moved through the fold in space is a container or starship, any object or being within the container, vehicle, or ship is also moved. The difficulty is variable based on a number of factors. First, the alter and sense difficulties are dependent on the proximity to the final destination of the object or person. Second, the size of the fold in space also may create an additional burden on the Jedi. Increase the difficulty +5 for objects weighing one to ten kilograms, +10 for objects 11 to 100 kilograms, +15 for objects 101 kilograms to one metric ton, +20 for objects 1,001 kilograms to ten metric tons, +25 for objects 10,001 to 100 metric tons.
If the Jedi fails the roll by 15 or more, then the object is lost in the fold in space and may be anywhere in the galaxy, or may vanish entirely.

I agree. But when I was doing the conversion guides, I never really let the fact that such a thing SHOULDN'T exist stop me from doing it anyway.

QED.
I also even did a Phase power that Gry Sarth even refused to print. It worked very nicely in my comedic themed D6 Fantasy game as a Wizard's spell, though. _________________ __________________________________

In our Sparks modules, we have had a creature called "warp hunters" who have this space folding like power. But use of it is considered evil/dark as you are ripping space time up, so use of the power gains you a DSP.
So shouldn't there be something similar with folding space? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I think that sounds like a fascinating way of running it. Ripping up time and space sounds like a fair justification for a DSP. Honestly, I probably wouldn't allow the power -- in any form -- for a variety of reasons. So making it a Dark Side creature's ability sounds really interesting to me. _________________ __________________________________

Okay so far as we are aware it was never printed by WEG.
Is it possible it was printed in a 3rd party supplement?
My buddy seems to remember seeing the power in print but was labeled as "Force Rift" and seeing it like 14 years ago or so so this was a while back there :S
I say this - if it is adopted in my game - I will be modifying it quite a bit.
That Conversion is at least something to start with though, thank you guys. |

You're welcome. In my original region of space known as the Whills Nebula, hyperspace travel is nearly impossible by normal astrogation. (In fact, the hyperlanes are even held open by poorly understood and shifting ancient space-time anomalies without which the mysterious Nebula would completely close in on the lanes and make hyperspace travel impossible at all.) The thing that makes astrogation possible is a Spice that must be ingested. The Spice temporarily puts the navigator's mind in sync with Nebula to allow astrogation. The Spice only facilitates astrogation within the Nebula so doesn't help in the rest of the galaxy. The Spice is only available on one planet in the Nebula, and spice production as well as the Nebula Navigator registration is controlled by the Navigators Guild, controlled by a Hutt family that was long exiled from Hutt Space by the other families in power. The Spice only works on certain species, and humans aren't one of them. Capital ships the size of Mon Calamari MC80s and Imperial star Destroyers can only be navigated through the Nebula by Hutts. But as far as anyone knows, no one can actually fold space.
The Spice must flow. Yeah, I'm a big Dune fan. _________________ *

I even looked through Darkstryder Endgame and the Witches of Dathomir spells, and I can't find anything like this.
What kind of 3rd party are you referring to? D6 Space has a "Translocation" power that allows you to teleport yourself up to 100 meters. Would you like that posted? _________________ __________________________________
