My player is a padawan of a master who I planned on having his connection to the force severed. And Now my player is searching for a way to return the connection. I hadn't planned on that, and now I need some insight.

Is there a way to return a connection to the force that has been lost?

My story involved his master discovering a Sith in disguise within the jedi order and leaving his padawan under another master's care. While investigating to rout out the sith, his master fell into a trap and was kidnapped. The sith planned to use a clone of that master under the sith's control to corrupt his padawan, and others. The plan was uncovered thanks to the other master and the padawans, and the clone was defeated by my pc and the others. However, by the time his master was recovered, his connection to the force had been stripped by the sith, and the sith had slipped away, leaving his master to die. He was then saved in the nick of time, but had also lost his voice due to a saber strike to the throat *irony is he had taken a vow of silence a long time ago*.

Is there a way by rules or if not - then by canon - for the Padawan to restore his master to power? I had not anticipated how much this would affect my PC, he doesn't even feel at home at the temple anymore and this may even lead to story in which he ends up down the path of corruption, so I am interested in where I can go with this....

The only way I know of to become Force Sensitive again after being severed is by going into the Force Nexus inside the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan.

Kyle Katarn steps into it to sever himself from the force, and then does it once more to become force sensitive again.

So depending on what time frame you play in, knowledge of this place may or may not even be out there. Dark forces 2, Jedi knight shows how tough it was for Kyle to even find out about it, let alone get there.

As for stripping it, i can't off the top of my head, even remember which force power/sith alchemy it is to do that.

Hmm. The Jedi Exile )Meetra Surik from KOTOR II) severs herself from the force too and then eventually restores it.

But there is Sever Force - which is used to stop dark siders and was used in a twisted version to do as I said by the Sith Emperor.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sever_force

He used an even more twisted version to siphon the force off an entire planet and empower himself. Which leads me to wonder if that effect would be only temporary if it hadn't killed all life on Nathema.

Sith are prone to taking light side powers, and twisting them to their will, usually as something stronger than intended.

I know that the sith at numerous times transferred powers as well, but I have not found any information on wiether the powers went back to holder on the manipulators or recipients death.

If you're playing in an era before the battle of Ruusan, then just create another planet with a Force Nexus on it. Otherwise, using the Valley of the Jedi seems like the easiest way to do it.

Even if it's post Ruusan, then there shouldn't be any problem with adding in another nexus.

Why not just add in more masters and holocrons for him to learn from. Does the same thing.

do you mean for my player to learn from?

Thats the point - we're playing old republic era circa 182 BBY he has plenty of master's and holocron's, but he's hoping more to help restore his master than to find others to teach him. His is in itself a bit greedy and self centered, as I said - a good start towards possible corruption.

I just needed to know what info he could find...

Perhaps the only source of info, is to go through a sith, or better yet a sith archive.

It could lead to the padawan slipping even further to the Dark Side - and into NPC land.
