If you're a gun enthusiast then you know about Hi-Point. They are the cheapest guns on the market today. I cqn talk about the plusses and minuses of the brand all day long, but a google search will do you better service.
I created the equivalent in Star Wars for one of my games called the Hi-Point Blaster. The in-game effect was a 1 or 2 on the wild die jammed the weapon requiring 1 round to clear.
So the player got a beautiful 5D blaster for next to nothing. And he loved it.
Until he used it. |

What i would do is on a 1 on the wild die, have him reroll.
On a 3-6 he just has a missfire
on a 2 he jams. and on a 1 he has a blowback, giving himself 5d damage. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Tha'd work too. The idea here was he bought a low quality blaster that had the plasma equivalent of a feed problem. I was goi g for making it a pain in the but rather than dangerous. |
