Game Notes: Since this Vessel and it's Companion Shuttle are so easily modified, engineers add a +5 BONUS to their Space Transports Repair Skill rolls when performing modifications on a VCX-100 it's Acompanying Shuttle-Lander.

Capsule:
Released just after the clone wars, the VCX-100 and Its Conpanion shuttle the "Lil" Buddy, was the First of the VCX freighter Line....... A return to the extremely easy to modify philosophy of the YT-Series, it was well received and though this light feighter and its companion short range shuttle were very popular and rugged, intended for long runs in the outer-rim and wildspace. Though the small short range lander was popular enough on its own to merit seperate sales, the combo mothership-shuttle setup, was dropped for for later VCX Models. The VCX-100's design was versatile enough it could serve as a Trading Vessel, Scout Vessel (With modification and upgrading to the Sensor Arrays), or even be converted to a miliary craft (Again with upgrades and modifications) or any number of roles..... The model was popular and stayed in production, well after the fall of the Galactic Empire, even as new VCX-Series models were released.

[Edit: Added The Shutle Fighter Doug_Red Posted in modified form to what i think is stock and Added to this as a Companion Vehicle to to the VCX-100 as well added a capsule.]

Looks ok, but how does it stack up against other freighters out there?

Looks awesome (and I love the image you found). 8)

For a stock version it's solid. The Ghost itself probably has a better hyperdrive and a considerably higher maneuverability (based on the way it easily handles multiple TIE fighters).

okish i supose Gharkal, and thanks Red, I tryed to keep it resonalble for starting stock stats. And not go very over bord. its a newer ship then the YT or YV series, so i figured should have a bit better stating the a Yt-1300 for instance, and as well as a gm... i give CEC Made Ships a +2. or +5 Circumstances bonus to modify, depending on seies, and some times model, thats standard as a GM for me.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!

I like the mix of styles they put in for the Ghost, maybe I'll have my players end up with one at some point.

I like the mix of styles, too. There's times, from a certain angle, that it even reminds me of a(n obviously smaller) Victory-class Star Destroyer, even.

I think you're on to something Doug. The Victory-class was based on preliminary sketches for Imperial star destroyers, and Rebels drew design inspiration from preliminary film artwork.

One modification to the stat line...isn't there an aft turret snuggled in under the main drives as well?

I'm not sure if I'd call it a modification exactly, but the Ghost has the shuttle that launches from it, it may be a special modification just the Ghost has, or perhaps it's a standard bit for this class of craft. I'm not sure which, but the way it fits on there, it looks like the ship was designed to carry a shuttle craft.

If this were my ship, my first two modifications that would be on my wishlist would be a new sublight engine, and modifications to the hyperdrive. Also, I'd add on some ion cannons for making quick work of mid-sized ships.

I'm not sure if its standard or a Modification so holding for now...... maybe will adjust when i find out more.
