Okay guys how much cargo space is taken up by consumables? Do we know, and if we don't what do you GM's say?
I'm looking at you YG-4210
But no really, I got a player thats looking at exploratory vessels - but wants to be able to to haul more consumables - I just don't know what to tell him for how much tonnage it would take for however many months. |

I suppose it wouldn't be an efficient real-world test if we just set ourselves up with a metric ton of food and water and saw how long that lasted us. _________________ __________________________________

I looked in tramp freghters and i see NO mention of increasing your consumabbles index. You can increase your passenger capacity at the rate of 1 person per 4 tons, which not only does food/water, but also air scrubbers etc.. So you could go off of that. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

In the original rule book's cost chart there was an item listed called the auto chef. If I remember right this was used to increase the consumables of a ship one week per auto chef bought. That if my memory servers me correctly. _________________ "EXECUTE ORDER 67. Wait a minute, that doesn't sound like order 67..... No, wait. Yes, yes it does.
