Game Notes: the two concussion missile racks are part of the modular system and can be modified to use different load outs of weapons, but typically use the low-tech missile racks.

The Tra'kad was a Mandalorian Protector starship introduced in 40 ABY, meant to complement the Bes'uliik. It was a slow, heavily-armored ship described as a "flying tank", the main uses of which were in assault, troop insertion and extraction, and fire support.

Developed by MandalMotors as part of a deal made with the Verpine after the discovery of a new vein of the nearly indestructible Mandalorian iron on Mandalore. Armed with six cannon turrets mounted on the top and lower hull, as well as on each corner, and rotating modular weapon platforms on the top, the vessel had no blind spots as the weapons' arcs of fire overlapped each other. The weapons could be operated manually with gearwheels, just as the rest of the ship.

The Tra'kad was very low-tech, much to the Verpines' dislike. It did, however, make it more appealing to the Mandalorians, as it could function temporarily on zero-power. This was helpful at the Second Battle of Fondor, where they could remain undetected among space debris and other destroyed spacecraft, forming a perfect backup for the main attack on Bloodfin.

The name Tra'kad is of Mandalorian origin and roughly translates to "StarSaber".

Thank you very much
I have few questions Wink

1) Which Blaster Cannon deals 6D? I only know one with 4D?

2) Why the Tra'kad has a equal Hull Code as the Besu'liik?

Not all blaster cannons are made the same. I made the decision that the ship was designed to be hard hitting and slow. I figured a bump in the weapons damage and range was an appropriate call to make.

I figured it, like the fighter had a thin layer of the armor and not sheets of it. So they would have comparable Hull ratings. I did bump of the shields. Also keep in mind that once you start getting into the 5D+ range for ships, they pretty much don't take damage very often anymore. So that was the reason.

Damage: 3D

Twin Blaster Cannons (fire-linked) (as seen on Pursuer-class Enforcement Ship)
Fire Arc: Front
Skill: Starship gunnery
Fire Control: 2D
Space Range: 1-5/10/17
Atmosphere Range: 100-500/1/1.7 km
Damage: 5D

Twin-Mounted Blaster Cannons (as seen on Firespray-class)
Crew: 1 Gunner per cannon
Fire Control: 2D
Space Range: 1-3/10/20 Space Units
Atmospheric Range: 100-300 metres/1 km/2 km
Damage: 4D

They do with 0D maneuverability. A poor roll from one of the pilots and he could easily be looking at 7D Capital scale damage. Anything with heavy ion cannons could eat him for lunch, too.

Hey guys,

First of all, sorry for the Necro/Off-topic post.

I was doing a Google search yesterday for images of the Tra'kad - I wanted to redo the texture and was looking for the source image I used - when I saw the link to this page.

Before then I'd not heard - at least that I can recall - of this game; Still doing some reading up on it all now, but it looks like a good bit of fun.

Never really enjoyed these sorts of things myself, but it's entirely possible that I might end up jumping into this one.

Cheers,
AUS_Doug.

Welcome, Doug. You should check it out, as it's a really fun game! Have you ever tried any role-playing game before?
