				Meditation Resonator

Model: Igatic Meditation Resonator

Type: Crystal of Mnemonic Meditation

Cost: N/A

Availability: 4

Game Notes: The user spends 15 minutes meditating with the resonator and must make an easy Willpower check (modified by distractions). For the next hour the user then gets an additional +1D make a prepared knowledge check.

Found only on Silactria IV, this orange metallic crystal is approximately .1 meter in diameter and faceted with a number of star-like protrusions. It resonates slightly with the gravitational field of its location causing it to float gently several centimeters above whatever surface it is on. The Igatic High Singer's have been known to use it as a meditation focus, helping them concentrate and narrow their focus when facing a major deliberation.

Soogna Bark Paste

Model: Bio-Chemical nutrient Immulsion

Type: Viscous Nutrient Wash

Cost: N/A

Availability: N/A

Game Notes: While alive, this paste acts interferes with the mind altering effects of the Force, effectively scrambling it for any creature whose brain is encased in the substance. (most likely in the form of a coating for a helmet or hat) The effect is two-way, both making the subject immune to force powers that affect the mind, and preventing the wearer from using such powers. One application typically will live for 2-4 weeks before the food is exhausted and the bacteria begin to starve.

This paste is the byproduct of the action of several species native to Silactria IV. It starts out as a sub-layer of bark (Phelloderm) from the Soogna tree. Once the tree has been infested with Vint-parasites, who feed on the Soogna tree's Phelloderm. The insect waste, rich in Soogna phelloderm then becomes a rich feeding ground for native bacteria. It is the bacteria that produce the Force 'static' effectively scrambling mind-affecting force powers. _________________ http://swfallingstar.podbean.com

				Daniel here.

If I understand this correctly, the bug droppings cut off a Force-user's ability to access the Force.

If that's the case, wouldn't there also be a penalty to Force-users that happen to come into contact with it? I would love to use it to hamstring a Jedi. _________________ Don Diestler

the effect is subtle. The fine level manipulation that requires alteration of thoughts is disrupted, but not really the more physical uses of the force. Yes, I suppose it could be used offensively, but you'd need a lot of it or a way to reliably cover the head of the force user. _________________ http://swfallingstar.podbean.com

Both very cool. Makes me realize I should come up with a snazzy ability for the Force crystal my PCs have. Well done, aegis! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
