Mike Vilardi is by far my favorite Star Wars RPG artist and is a super approachable guy, I got a piece done by him for me and a friend, it's our two Jedi characters and it is awesome...

That's really cool that you got a custom piece done by him! I've had one of my favorite artists to do a drawing of my PC before (different game) and I think it's a great way to further realize one's character.
I agree with you, by the way, that Villardi is the best Star Wars artist out there (well, him and Drew Struzan, but Villardi is the best for RPG stuff). _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

For anyone that cares, I took those 4" x 2.5" cards that Villardi posted there on that Deviant Art page and re-sized them (so they are the same as the actual cards, from whatever product they came in). On the third page, there's also some counters (like we use in our game).

Now they just need to be printed out on cardstock to use in a game (of course, we don't have the stats for the various characters shown, so personally I'll just make something up for them myself). _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

It was just by chance that I ran across him on Deviant art and like I said, he was approachable. Super-super nice guy and if I ever figure out how to post art in a thread (if possible...) then I'll post the piece.

That would be cool, Keith! 8)
BTW, does anybody have any idea what product those original cards came in? _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Sorry for the thread necromancy and slight OT, but:

It's a collection of some great "what if" art based on the concept that the original trilogy was set in some college or high school. |

Those are amazing! looks like if Fast times, back to the future and star wars had a baby.
I would love to see this as a movie or a fan film. What a great concept. |
