Yes....ish. That's the setup at least. When the whole story comes out even the most morally compromised characters will have trouble remaining on the side they are on.

This is not a tramp freighters campaign, nor is it a D&D Game. The players actually have access to vast wealth already. Quite frankly, the Star Wars economic systems are so broken, I really don't like dealing with them if I can avoid it.

A lot of games do focus on cost/wealth and scarcity; this one really won't be one of them. Some GM's control the flow material to the players by careful management of available 'loot' That system forces players to kill, loot the bodies and sell the stuff not one I really like (too much "Murder Hobo" as the guys at SWR say) And also not very starwarsy.

Besides, whose to say that having PCs with a great deal of wealth is bad/wrong/fun?

As long as everybody's having a great time and enjoying things at your table, then more power to you! Very Happy

Maybe its just how i have gamed over the years, but the party having access to uber amounts of cash, can make for somewhat boring games as they can purchase what ever is needed to pass what ever challenge is in their way.

Depends on the game and the style it's being run in. I've run games with billionaires, with access to anything they could imagine. Didn't crimp play in the slightest, but rather gave the GM more things they could work with (one time I did a storyline where a billionaire had everything stripped from him, for instance).

It's all in the opponents & situations you set up for your players.

Neither Tony Stark nor Bruce Wayne seem to have a shortage of challenges.

Sure, if all you throw at the PC's is street thugs then yeah, a big bankroll will turn the tide. Having a light cruiser at your disposal is fantastic... right up until you're being chased by a Star Destroyer and don't have the Falcon's Maneuverability to help you get away.
