My son and I went to Origins today. In the morning, I visited one of my fraternity brothers who was running crime/mystery game, and the Sparks room was right beside it. I peaked my head in and there were a couple tables of adventures going on.
garhkal, if you were there, I was the fat guy wearing the Spock t-shirt and holding the hand of an adorable little blond boy.

Didn't see him poke his head in this year. Though in the past few years, our group has hosted a game for Mr Zahn, Mr Stackpole AND mr Allston.

Whoa whoa whoa. Timothy Zahn was there?!
Probably good that I didn't know. I'd have been too tempted to go all disgruntled fanboy on him for creating Mara Sue Jade. 8)

I can't remember the year, but yes. Though iirc it was at a gencon, not origins.

Nope. Never got the chance. The first time, i didn't even hear about it going on till the session afterwards (though i did wonder why one of our DM's was not there in the room for his slot). The 2nd time, i was in the room, had my table for gming set up, and was already 10 min into a game, when one of the other GM's again got the call up to go with these "People' and Allston was standing outside with his 2 bodyguards.
Last time iirc it was Stackpole, but it was one of the 2 Gencon's i missed due to being on deployment.
So it has happened for those in our group, but unfortunately i never got the chance to game with them. Sucks as i would have loved to game with ANY of the 3.
