i'm hoping that someone can help me in regards to getting some better illustrations made of my two ships..
The original (from the 1990's) illustrations were done with an early drawing programme on a Commodore Amiga, so I am sure that some better ones can be produced.
Unfortunately my artistic skills aren't very good in regards to freehand pencil.
The two ships can be found in the Starships section. |

If you're willing to be patient with my sporadic work completion rate, I can probably whip up some 3D Sketchup models. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Thank you very much!!!
just a little addition, the missile launcher for the Shock TIE is now a bit smaller, holds two missiles and is a permanent attachment to the fuselage. |

Here is the model to date. Note it's unfinished—I have yet to do any fine detailing, especially on the ball and wing struts. Let me know what you think. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

i love it!
Although, I think the missile launcher could be a little flatter, and integrated more into the fuselage.
the colour would be a little greyer, in regards to the special coating. It is also a little bigger due to being built on a TIE/In frame |

I can make the launcher flatter, but what exactly do you mean by "integrated more into the fuselage"?
Paint isn't finished yet. Only the parts that aren't white have any paint.
Proportionally, or in absolute size? I haven't scaled the thing; that's the last step. The wings make it smaller than a TIE/ln, unless the cockpit is very oversized. In fact, the wings are already a little too big. Are we going off the dot matrix image or something else? My intention, as it currently stands, is to finish modeling and build the TIE to the proportions pictured in the dot matrix printout image, and then scale it to the point that the ball cockpit is the same diameter as a TIE/ln. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

So about 4x as wide as it is high, grated at the rear instead of the sides, flat-faced, but slopping up in back, indented near the center and equipped with two ports, rather than a single port with room for two missiles? _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Latest incarnation. I've changed the launcher, and added a little fine detail.
Also, it's now scaled to TIE/ln cockpit size. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

The two bits on the front of the ship, under the cockpit are the sensors.
Could this be refined into a sensor bar of sorts? |
