Hey cool, they have Lawrence Kasdan working on the script!
It may not be absolute best from this, but it'll be better. |

The internet just exploded so it is hard to get to StarWars.com or an original source, so instead of a link I posted the important part. _________________ *

I'm excited that the first person on the list is a young black man. I am hopeful that they will cast him as a complex and likable character rather than a villain or a brute - or any other demeaning stereotype.
I also love Andy Serkis. He is divine. _________________ "I still wouldn't have a roll for it - but that's just how I roll." |

Yeah, Serkis didn't need to up his geek cred any, as he's already pretty much a demigod of genre films. He's an incredibly gifted actor. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

If we are going for racial/ethnic equality, what about asians, or latinos? Heck i never remember anything coming close to a middle eastern human in the films. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

There were background Jedi of all ethnicities.

Well, there definitely was a middle eastern Rodian or two though. 8) _________________ *

Apparently he mught also be the Grandson of Obiwan Kenobi.
Since the Clone Wars is official canon now there is speculation that Obiwan might have hooked up with a Mandalorian woman during the downtime when he was watching over Luke on Tatooine. |

lack of females in the cast is apparently causing some backlash.
The Male/Female ratio is what? 8/2? _________________ http://swfallingstar.podbean.com

Is the original ratio one to root for?
I'm not one to argue for token minorities of any stripe, and I'm not the biggest fan of political correctness. That said, I do think that we need a Star Wars that reflects our time, rather than the 1970s. I want female characters (notice the plural) that I can root for, as well as female villains to be in awe of. |

Yeah, I'd love to see a female villain. _________________ *
