So.. would it be best for the launcher to be built in?
Or a separate add-on?
would the engine be improved? And would there be a power drain in regards to the 'stealth'?
I'm sure the computer systems would be upgraded too. |

My take on it and I am no expert by a long shot. I would include the missile launcher as part of the basic package. Its 7D less than a concussion missile so I don't see where it would be much of a power drain or at enough mass to make maneuverability and speed an issue.
As for the "stealth" end of it. I would just make it so a low-level current is needed for whatever reason you want to make up. Because the wings are so much smaller and this additional power drain the capacitors had to be installed. Again I would not consider this a huge mass increase but would be something that would make the ship more expensive to build, therefore a lower production run. _________________ Don Diestler

As an aside this is what I created for my setting concerning these fighters.
Moff Serbin Rek-Finden: A career officer who gained prominence prior to the Battle of Hoth and gained his ship command in the intervening years leading up to the Battle of Endor.
After Emperor Palpatine's death on the second Death Star many Moffs and Admirals gathered as many Imperial assets and resources as they could and headed for the Core Worlds.
During this time Serbin showed himself a capable leader. Though he was never a part of those who continued to follow the dead Emperors cult of personality he was soon at odds with the now bickering leaders of the Empire.
Knowing he could not pull off a coup he did the next best thing. He started to gather like-minded pro-Imperials to his side. Eventually this group made a break for the Outer Rim.
Quickly his battle group took over an Imperial orbital dock with its shipbuilding facilities. For many years Serbin, now calling himself Moff Serbin, built up his forces and slowly expanded his territory.
Moff Serbin now rules directly over nearly twelve systems and is an effective leader as well as a decent starfighter designer. Having used his engineering abilities to develop and implement the both the TIE/Hv and TIE/Sk into his armada.
Moff Serbin not a benevolent leader. He believes that a strong government is important and that order at all costs must be maintained. He sees the New Republic as naive and the Imperial Remnant as power hungry and corrupt. Only he holds true to the original ideals of the Imperial government, all others are pretenders. _________________ Don Diestler

So the launcher can be small then.
So... the final stats..
And I'd also like to find an artist who can render the fighter as a picture.

Would you use it?
I thought it was going to be speed 11 and higher manoeuvring as it is based on an Interceptor?
If so, will it be slightly larger.. If this ship is being built on a TIE Interceptor framework, will it still be that size?
There seems to be conflicting information about that |

Granted, the pilots for them, would have to be the best at what they do.
How many missiles are in the launchers?
Does the TIE/Hv need more work too?

I do indeed like the idea of the starfighter. I like it even better with the character I came up for its justification. It has a lot of elements that would be a lot of fun to run in a New Republic game.

I agree with the two missiles...
I think, going with the same design parameters, i.e. built from the TIE Bomber framework, I think it can be improved a bit. |
