Hello
I'm new here but an old gamer. It seems like yesterday I was waiting for the premier of the new Star Wars RPG. I've already found tons of useful information on your Forum and I look forward to asking a lot of dumb questions.

The Problem I'm having with this site is every time I think of a question, I do a search and somebody has answered it. That's a great problem to have.

Informative.
Talkative, too. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Hello.
I'm an old gamer, but very new to d6 Star Wars. Never played it when it was in its heyday - I'd pretty much dropped out of gaming in the late 80s and didn't get re-involved until the late 90s.
I've played a little bit of d20 Star Wars, around 10 years ago. Didn't really enjoy the system that much, but I still managed to have fun with my Rodian PC.
I picked up a copy of d6SW, 1E, from Half Price Books a month ago and have been gradually reading through it. Also grabbed a couple cheap supplements from HPB: The Star Wars Sourcebook, the Imperial Sourcebook, and recently, The Jedi Academy Sourcebook.
I expect that I'll be doing a lot of 'lurking' here. Reading through a lot of threads on a game, and game system, that are unfamiliar to me. I'll try to participate, though - even from such a newbie perspective. |

Welcome, KPeterson, it's great to have you here!
Like you, I never jumped into D6 Star Wars in its heyday (though I was an avid gamer and big fan of SDW too). And also similar to your account, I've found a lot of great old stuff (including three of the four books you mentioned) at HPB, which is a virtual treasure trove of old gaming goodness. If you have one near you, be sure to check it out, people! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
