For my 1000th post since I joined The Rancor Pit six years ago, I just wanted to pause for a moment to get a little sappy and express how much I love this website and community. All of you active users share my love for WEG Star Wars, which is amazing considering it ceased publication 16 years ago and there have now been two more SW RPGs since. We don't all agree on everything Star Wars or RPG-wise, but I prefer it that way. I find the discussion very beneficial, and even diametrically opposing views on something can still positively effect my appreciation of the game.
To all of you currently playing Star Wars D6 or planning to again in the future, I raise my dice to you. Cheers!
May the Force be with us! _________________ *

Happy anniversary!
I couldn't agree more with what you said. I find the conversation on here to be informative, inventive, and well thought out. This group gets along extremely well and is so polite that other forums I haunt pale in comparison. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

Congrats to you Whill!
While I may be new here, so far I have found the community to be inviting and I always look forward to seeing what people have posted everyday. I hope it's around for you to reach post 2,000. _________________ Knowledge is power, and power corrupts...so what does that say about knowledge?

Around Valentine's Day of 2020 at his current rate of progression. I hope you're around that long too, Darth. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Following the theme of Rancor Pit anniversaries, I have just achieved a somewhat ominous milestone, in that I have now begun or contributed to 666 different topics. Take it for what you will. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Congrats! I have a different forum where I passed the 1000-post mark some time ago, but it took me 10 years to do. I'm much more on-track to get that within 10 years on this forum. (I even made it to the first page of members, sorting by post-count descending, at number 48, though I might just post once more right after this posting to capture number 47 .)
Edit: done! I'm now climbing the ranks. In 4 more posts, I'll be #46!
I too have to say that this is one of the best boards that I've been on. I've found it especially great these last few months, as I've been working on the ISD project, and conceptualizing naval tactical doctrines.

That depends greatly on your point of view. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Even during lag times, this forum as been much more active than the SWRPG network's holonet. Which to me shows that this site has more attraction than that site does. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

This is indeed an awesome site, and I very much enjoy the discussions here! 8)
I've got a new player (actually, the guy who introduced me to D6) who lurks here, and I've been encouraging him to start posting, too.
Hard to believe I'm honing in on 1,000 already myself! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
