Hi,
I found this. Sorry I don't remember where :
ULTIMATE D6 LIGHTSABER CRYSTAL GUIDE
A lightsaber crystal was a term used to describe any variety of crystals, gems, stones, or other objects used as the focus in the construction of a lightsaber.
At the heart of every lightsaber was a set of crystals that resonated to produce the efficient, powerful blade. While the most common crystals used in the process were from the Adega system, Ilum, and Dantooine (in the so-called "Crystal Cave"), Jedi and Sith used a variety of crystals to produce various colors, effects and unique abilities. Some crystals could even enhance the Force skills of a particular user. Other gems, such as colored crystals or diamonds, were used exclusively for prismatic effects. However not all lightsaber crystals were actually crystals at all. There were plenty of exceptions where a Jedi or Sith would use a different material or substance in place of a crystal, such as physical remains, shards of glass, and even special micro machinery.
High levels of energy generated by a high-output Diatium power cell was unleashed through a series of focusing lenses and energizers that converted the energy into plasma. The plasma was projected through a set of focusing crystals that lent the blade its properties and allowed for the adjustment of blade length and power output. The ideal number of crystals was three, though only one was required. In game terms, there is only one open slot for Primary Cristal and one open slot for the Secondary Focusing Crystal (also called Modulating Crystal). Variable-length and dual-phase lightsabers require multiple crystals. A double-bladed lightsaber has 2 blade emitters but it only requires 1 PRIMARY crystal and 1 available slot for secondary focusing crystals (one for the two emiters) but the cost are double just like you have bought 2 crystals instead of one. Just like we see in the Knights of Old republic video game, and to avoid to much bookeeping, and preserve the Star wars feeling of the game, both crystals (primary and secondary) give the same benefits to both blades at same time. In these cases, the increased difficulty for using these crystals is added to the increased difficulty for the specialized design of the lightsaber.
Once focused by the crystals, the plasma was sent through a series of field energizers and modulation circuitry within the emitter matrix that further focused it, making it into a coherent beam of energy that was projected from the emitter. The blade typically extended about a meter before being arced by the blade containment field back to a negatively charged fissure ringing the emitter, where it was channeled back to the power cell by a superconductor, completing the circuit. But this is not so simple, because all crystals within the hilt must be aligned by hand or, if the wielder´s want precision, by telekinesis and before that, the crystals must be touched by the force.
PREPARING THE CRYSTALS
When the force sensitive is prepared to build his own lightsaber or want to improve a existing one, he must prepare the crystals by balancing and imbuing them with the Force to properly “activate” the properties inside it. To start the hamonization process the force-sensitive must have Emptiness (or Rage if he is a darksider), Sense Force, Telekinesis, Lightsaber Combat and at least 5D in Lightsaber Repair skill. The character spends 1 day meditating with a crystal to be used in a lightsaber, harmonizing it with the Force and gaining an instinctive understanding of how to use it. Whether any particular crystal can be harmonized with this power is at the GM’s discretion – some crystals simply cannot be harmonized because of flaws, brittleness, or other factors.
The force user must make three test to successfully attune the desired crystal. First, the user must harmonize himself with a Difficult test of his Control skill, them he must harmonize with the force around him with a Difficult test of his Sense skill. At last, he must make a Difficult test of Alter to harmonize and imbue the crystal. The user can not prepare or “take time” for this cerimony, but for each additional week spent in meditation, one of the skill roll difficulties can be reduced 1 level, to a minimum of Easy. A Force Point must be spent in the end of the preparation cerimony (after all three tests are made). The first time this is done successfully, the user becomes stronger in the Force and receives an extra Force Point in return. If any of the tests fails, the character must spent the force point the same way but don´t receive it back.
During the last 1,000 years of the Galactic Republic, Jedi use crystals from Ilum almost exclusively when building lightsabers. Since Adegan/Ilum crystals do not require this preparation because those crystals already are infused with the force, it falls out of use and few Jedi during this time are even aware of its existence. The ability to harmonize lightsaber crystals is later rediscovered and commonly used by students at Luke Skywalker’s academy on Yavin.
THE CRYSTAL CHAMBER
When all desired crystal are prepared, is time to install them in the chamber of the lightsaber. Standard chambers only house 1 primary crystal and 1 secondary set, but this can be modified to receive one extra secondary crystal to enhance the power of this elegant weapon.
Customizable Modulation Crystal Housing: This type of saber was constructed by Jedi during the height of the Old Republic, when many different types of lightsaber crystals were available. In eras when combat was less important for a Jedi, such a design showed a fixation on the weapon that was generally seen as inappropriate. In later eras, many types of lightsaber crystals became unavailable as sources were depleted or destroyed, and this design fell out of use.
In addition to its primary focusing crystal, the customizable crystal housing has sockets for 2 secondary crystals. Modulation crystals can be added or removed without rebuilding the lightsaber - this requires only a single roll of Lightsaber Repair, at the base difficulty for the saber’s construction, adding difficulty only if it is specifically indicated in a crystal’s description. If the roll fails, the saber continues to function as normal, but does not gain the bonuses of the modulation crystals currently installed. Constructing a customizable lightsaber increases difficulty by one level. The parts required increase cost by 25%.
Primary Crystals
In the Star Wars Galaxy history, there is 4 types of crystals that can be used as the primary set for a lightsaber: Adegan, Dantari, Synthetic and Artifact crystals.
The ADEGAN CRYSTALS were commonly used by Jedi as a main component of a lightsaber. Also known as "Ilum crystals", these rare Force-reactive stones were primarily found in the Adega system, on the Auril Sector. A fair amount of these crystals could also be found on the planet Halm, on Mygeeto, and in parts of the Cularin system asteroid belt. Adegan crystals had a special connection to the Force, and it was through their use that Jedi created a bond between themselves, the Force, and their weapon. The Adegan crystals in a lightsaber gave off a weak Force signature that could be sensed by any Jedi. There is five types of Adegan Crystals.
The Adegan Crystals are the most common lightsaber crystals in the days of the Old Republic, those crystals are used by Jedi for thousands of years, and they come in a wide variety of color. In the Old Republic Era those gems are highly priced and many criminals want them badly. Adegan/Ilum Crystals doesn´t need be harmonized with the force (see preparing crystals below)
DANTARI CRYSTALS are found on the planet Dantooine. Dantari Crystals originate in the eggs of the Kinrath, creatures native to the planet. Dantari crystals were harvested in the ancient days of the jedi, but when Ilum became a source of lightsaber crystals, few jedi saw the need to deal with the deadly Kinrath. Crystal harvested from the kinrath eggs supposedly reflect the true disposition of the wielders. If you are a light-side character and wield an attuned lightsaber with Dantari crystal when using powers that help or heal someone else (not yourself), you may lower one level of dificulty to activate it (even when you fell the lure of dark side). Darkside characters receive the same benefit but only when they are using darkside powers to harm or kill someone. The damage code of all dantari crystals are 4D+1. Those crystals generate only Blue, Green, Yellow, Red and sometimes Violet lightsaber blades. Red Crystals are known to form inside Kinrath Eggs, but destroying those eggs to acquire the crystal is an act of evil and the force-sensitive character gain 1 dark side point for it. All Dantari crystals growth naturally in crystal formations around the eggs (like a nest) on the caves where the hives of kinrath lives. The dantari crystals are used by the Jedi Council as reward for achievement and in some Eras the color of the blade identify a specific class of Jedi (Blue for Guardians, Green for Counselor, Yellow for Sentinel).
A SYNTHETIC LIGHTSABER CRYSTAL, commonly referred to as a Synth-crystal, is a type of Lightsaber crystal that is artificially created, rather than naturally formed by geological processes. Due to the methods used in their creation, they often formed with a red coloration, though they could be made with any color through special manipulations of the creation process or on the crystal itself through the Force. The red-hued lightsaber blades generated by synthetic crystals with a red coloration were often nicknamed "bloodshine blades". As a result of their artificial origins, synthetic crystals created more powerful lightsaber blades and could be more easily augmented. Synthetic crystals included but were not limited to Luxum, Ilum, Adegan crystals and Corusca gems.
It should be noted that not all red lightsaber crystals were synthetic. Red-hued crystals were known to form naturally in the Crystal Caves on Dantooine, along with blue, green, yellow and violet crystals. However, unlike the other crystals, the red crystals were typically found in unhatched kinrath eggs. Though red crystals were ordinarily unsuitable for use in lightsabers, the Sith discovered that they could create synth-crystals which they energized, magnetized, and modified with the power of the dark side of the Force in special furnaces, causing the crystal to glow in harmonic vibration. As a result of their common usage by Sith and other Darksiders after this discovery, synthetic crystals with a red coloration became a staple of such groups, and their use among Jedi was strongly discouraged.
Synthetic lightsaber crystals were manufactured within a machine known as a geological compressor. The original purpose of the compressor was to replicate geological conditions on distant worlds in a laboratory setting, and it was easily adapted for creating synthetic crystals, as crystals are a result of geological processes. The raw material that the crystal was fashioned from was easily accessible, simply being minerals with a high carbon concentration. The raw material would then be placed within the machine and essentially left to bake for a period of twenty four hours, during which time, the initiate creating the crystal would meditate on it with the Force, guiding the formation and increasing the potentcy. This allowed for an initiate to create a crystal that best suited his or her own needs.
Most synthetic crystals are red, as a result of both the forging process and often the initiate's intentional manipulations, as most individuals who utilize synthetic crystals are Darksiders. However, synth-crystals could be made in any color, requiring only slight adjustments of the compression process and special manipulations through the Force during the forging. As Jedi frowned on the use of synthetic crystals in lightsabers, most individuals who utilized colors other than red were Darksiders looking to hide their affiliations.
The primary reason for the usage of synthetic crystals among Sith and other Darksiders was the need to stay hidden, as most of the sites where natural crystals suitable for lightsabers could be gathered were frequented by the Jedi Order. Eventually, synth-crystal usage among such groups became a tradition, with most members considering the creation of a synthetic crystal superior to the more passive Jedi method of gathering of natural crystals, which was looked on as relying on the "untamed wilds of space" to provide crystals. In fact, synthetic crystal creation was viewed by Darksiders to be sign of greater mastery over the Force.
Conversely, the Jedi frowned on the creation and use of synth-crystals among their initiates, associating this with taking the quick and easy path, as they believed they should rely on crystals found naturally across the galaxy. However, sometimes Jedi were forced to create synth-crystals when a weapon was needed and no naturally occurring crystals were accessible. Notable examples include Luke Skywalker, who used a synth-crystal for his first lightsaber, because he had no knowledge of the natural crystals at that point, and his nieceJaina Solo. Synth-crystals made by the Jedi usually had colors other than red, to avoid similarities with the Sith. Skywalker created a green crystal, while Solo produced a violet one.
In fact, because Darth Sidious had most of the sites where crystals occurred naturally looted or destroyed during the reign of the Galactic Empire, the New Jedi Order had to rely on synth-crystals almost exclusively.
There is three kind of Synth-crystals:
Standard: A standard synthetic crystal was created through the successful replication of the geological structure of natural crystals. Standard crystals set the baseline for synthetic crystals in general; they generated a more powerful lightsaber blade than natural crystals, and often demonstrated a red coloration, though that was easily controlled. In fact, synth-crystal blades were so powerful that they had the rare potential to "break the blade" of standard lightsabers by overloading the energy matrix and instantly burning out the other lightsaber. Though this happened extremely rarely, it was a known and frightening possibility in combat. However, synth-crystal generated lightsaber blades were in general were less manueverable than the blades generated by natural crystals, and were generally more unstable.
Effect :In game terms, the standard syth-crystal has the damage code of the original type of crystal. The most important ability is automatically triggered when the wielder successfuly parry an standard lightsaber in combat : if oponnent suffer a complication on damage roll, his lightsaber is overloaded and disabled until properly repaired.
Compressed: Compressed synth-crystals were a result of a failure to accurately replicate the natural geological process that formed crystals. The result was a crystal that was far more compressed than natural crystals, causing the blade generated to be considerably thinner than standard blades. However, a byproduct of this thinner blade was that it allowed for greater precision and control. In addition to a thinner blade, the other visual indicators for a blade generated by a compressed synth-crystal were oscilations of energy that ran along the length of the blade at regular, though rapid intervals.
Effet :In game terms, the compressed syth-crystal has damage code reduced by 1D compared to natural type of crystal and grant the wielder with an +1D bonus for lightsaber skill roll in melee.
Unstable; Like compressed crystals, unstable crystals were the result of the initiate failing to accurately replicate the natural formation processes of crystals. The blades generated by unstable crystals were obviously more unstable than the norm, causing the blades generated to crackle with energy at erratic intervals, sometimes causing sparks to fly or streaks of electrical energy to run along the length. Due to the energy sparking from the blade, unstable synth-crystals caused more damage than normal when they hit enemies. However, they were much more prone to shorting out, causing the lightsaber to deactivate for a time.
Effect :In game terms, the unstable syth-crystal has damage code augmented by 1D compared to natural type of crystal but whenever the wielder roll 1 in the wild die, the blade is deactivated for the rest of the round and cannot be reactivated until the end of the next round.
ARTIFACTS CRYSTALS are the most ilusive kind of all lightsaber crystals. They are surrounded by legends and myth, and are wanted for treasure-seekers around the galaxy. To find those crystals, a epic journey must be made by players and GM´s who want to use them in the campaign. Those crystals are fated to appear in somepoint in the future to fullfill a specific role, so one day they will find a way to reach that destination (GM discretion). There is, at date, two artifact of interest in the Knights of Old republic Era:
Heart of the Guardian (Unique, Blade Colour: Orange, Base Damage: 5D): Though its origins have been lost, the legendary artefact known as the heart of the Guardian was rumoured to have been instrumental in the founding of the guardian order of the Jedi. Nothing further is mentioned in any Jedi archive, but both Sith and Jedi whisper their own legends. According to the Jedi, the Heart will appear in a time of greatest turmoil and deliver the galaxy into salvation. The Sith, however, believe it to be an object of their heritage, which with bring the galaxy under their dominion. The Heart of the Guardian appears to be a magnificently shaped lightsaber crystal of unknown composition. Analysis by Suvam Tan has yielded inconclusive results, not being able to identify what mineral it is made of. Suvam has even begun to wonder if it is a normal crystal at all, for at times it almost seems as if it were alive. All known lightsaber crystals seem to have a strange resonance with the Heart of the Guardian, their properties being altered or enhanced when in close proximity to it. Additionally, energy focussed through the heart results in a beam of unique clarity and colour. Artifact Crystals doesn´t need be harmonized with the force (see preparing crystals below).
Effect: Alllows you to reroll any 6s as Wild Dice (re-roll all of them and add the result) when the lightsaber combat power is up. IF the original Wild Dice get a result of 1, the wielder may reroll that die once each round for lightsaber skill in melee.
Mantle of the Force (Unique, Blade Colour: Sky Blue, Base Damage: 4D+2)
The Mantle of the Force is an item assembled by Suvam Tan from pieces found in the ruins of Exar Kun’s temples on the fourth moon orbiting Yavin. It appears to be the remains of an even older artefact of unknown origin. It is not known if it was used by Exar Kun, or just uncovered when his temples were destroyed. Nor is it known what the original properties of the item were, but given the current abilities, in its original state it must have been fearsome indeed. The Mantle is a crystalline lattice, resembling a lightsaber crystal in many ways, but having the property of being able to radically alter the flow of energy that passes through it. When combined with other crystals, the mantle warps their properties, often enhancing them to incredible levels. Additionally, the Mantle seems to act as a focussing tool for Force-sensitive individuals, leading to the idea that the original artefact may once have been a powerful tool of the Sith, or perhaps something they took with them when the dark Jedi originally split from the Order. Artifact Crystals doesn´t need be harmonized with the force (see preparing crystals below).
Effect: All Force skills (Control, Sense and Alter) of the wielder get a +3D bonus when using force powers that have you as the sole target. IF the Wild Dice get a result of 1, the wielder may reroll that die once for each force skill used in this round.

SECONDARY CRYSTALS
In addition to the lightsaber’s main focusing crystal, various other types of crystal can be added to a lightsaber for a variety of effects, those are called Modulating Crystals because they are the Secondary Focussing Crystals that change the abilities of the wilder. Alone, these exotic types of crystal are unsuitable for lightsaber construction, so they must be used with a primary focussing crystal to produce any effect. Difficulty to construct the lightsaber increases by one level for each of these crystals used in the weapon. ALL crystals in this list must be prepared within the force before any test of lightsaber repair take place, except Adegan/Ilum of course.
Values are listed in parenthesis, for a lightsaber-suitable crystal. These prices are as of the Mandalorian War era in the Old Republic, when such crystals were fairly common. Unique crystals are the most prized crystal that exist in the star wars galaxy because they had background story and are the ultimate objective of a quest or a reward for a epic journey, because there is no other copies of those crystals in the universe. In other eras when lightsabers are less common (during the reign of Palpatine, for example), prices will be much higher and many of these crystals are nearly impossible to acquire.
The Ankarres Sapphire (Unique, Not for sale):
Also known as the Antares crystal, was a crystal that possessed legendary healing powers and numerous other effects. It was one of the most potent crystals that could be used in lightsabercreation. It was also a crystal of great power and could aid a Jedi in battle. Legend has it that this sapphire could only be wielded by light-siders. If the crystal/saber was to be touched by someone dark, it would slowly heat up and burn their hand. Supposedly, this effect could apparently be reversed if it fell into the wrong hands. The crystal may have been found by the Jedi Exile at some point in 3,951 BBY. It was also held on board Kuari Princess by Dom Pricina until stolen by 4-LOM sometime before the Battle of Yavin. The droid pawned the sapphire on Darlyn Boda, but when it did not sell, 4-LOM brought it back to his partner. He then attempted to use the Ankarres Sapphire to heal Zuckuss and Samoc Farr. This crystal don´t need preparation because is already infused by the Force.
Effects: If you doesn´t have any Darkside points, you may touch the crystal and try to use it´s power. Any lightside force sensitive character can use Accelerate Healing, Accelerate Another´s Healing, Control Disease, Control Another´s Disease, Detoxify Poison and Detoxify Another´s Poison as if he had those powers with a special bonus of +1D for all force skills associated with them. If the character already had those powers, the crystal special bonus still applies. Non-force sensitive can receive full benefits from the powers of the crystal without any roll to activate them if he spent 1 Force Point per desired power per target. Darksiders suffer 2D heat damage per round if they grab this crystal or try to wield the lightsaber with the Ankarres crystal inside.
Bondar (980 credits):
Mined on a far-orbit asteroid circling the Alderaan system, these crystals produce a volatile lightsaber blade that pulses on impact, discharging part of its energy. This crystal was capable of briefly stunning an opponent if the lightsaber scraped their flesh.
Effect: Any living being struck by the blade must make a Difficult roll of Stamina or be stunned, regardless of whether any injury is suffered. Two bondars increase the difficult to avoid being stunned by one level. Stunned characters suffer a penalty of -ID to skill and attribute rolls for the rest of the round and for the next round. A stun no longer penalizes a character after the second round, but it is still "affecting" him for half an hour unless the character rests for one minute. If a character is being "affected" from a number of stuns equal to the number before the "D" for the character's Strength, the character is knocked unconscious for 2D minutes. A character making an Easy first aid total can revive an unconscious character.
Corusca Gem (7.000+ credits)
This expensive jewels are harvested from the depths of the gas giant Yavin, and they are renowed for their hardness and strength of blade they create. Some Corusca gems can worth 1 million credits but depends of the CSC (Coruscant Standard Carat / see Pirates and Privateers sourcebook, page 35, Corustant Stones are also called Coruscant Gems).
Effect: When you wield an attuned lightsaber with Corusca gem, the blade deals +1D+1 bonus damage against targets with anykind of armor. If two of this gems are installed on the same lightsaber, the damage bonus increase to 2D+2 against armored opponents.
Damind (1.980 credits)
Found on desert world Daminia, these crystals produce a clearly defined lightsaber blade that is subtly wider and longer.
Effect: When the Lightsaber Combat power is active, the user receives a +1D bonus to Lightsaber skill rolls in defecting blaster fire. A pair of this crystals give a extra +1 pip bonus (Maximum Bonus: +1D+1 to lightsaber skill in defecting blaster fire).
Danite (6.000 credits)
For unknown reasons, the expensive small Danite crystals had the same effects as seen on the Kathracite crystals when used as modulating crystal. Adding additional adegan crystals to a lightsaber allows more power to flow through the blade.
Effect: Convert the blade to produce stun damage. These crystals are not needed to be prepared beforehand with the force.
Dragite (500 credits)
Dragite crystals were found on planet M'haeli, in the D'lope Mountain Range. The crystals were sometimes used to focus lightsabers. The beam they created resonated loudly when it struck, inflicting a minor amount of Sonic damage on target.
Effect: on hit (even doesn´t deal damage), target must make special STR roll versus Easy difficulty or loose -1D dexterity for this round and until the end of the next one. If a pair of dragite is installed on the same saber, increase the difficult to resist the effect by one level (Moderate).
Durindfire (10.000 credits)
This crystal is found only on the remote Outer Rim world of Tantooine. Few Durindfires ever left the planet, though some were bought and sold by the Galactic Empire to help finance the Death Star project. The Alliance to Restore the Republic was able to pinpoint the Empire's various development sites by tracking the movement of these gems, and additionally used this information to uncover the origins of the TIE Phantom Project. A Durindfire gem was key in adding a distinctive silver sheen to any lightsaber blade. This stone was traditionally used by the Jedi of the Halcyon/Horn family.
Effect: Those crystals give the lightsaber blade they focus a distinctive silver glow. Addicionally, when you wield an attuned lightsaber with durindfire crystal, the lightsaber emits a glow compareble to a fusion lantern, illuminating the area brightly (10 meter radius). Addicional durindfire on the same saber doesn´t add any new ability or enhancement.
Eralam (1800 credits)
Once mined on the third moon of Erai, ancient Sith bombardment shattered much that remained. If they can be found, these crystals produce a clear, superior lightsaber beam.
Effect: +2 pips bonus to the saber’s damage. If a second Eralam crystal is placed in the chamber, the wielder get a special +2 pips bonus in the lightsaber skill roll in melee.
Firkrann (2480 credits)
This heavy crystal is collected by the natives of Rafa V. If used in lightsaber construction it produces an electrically charged beam that is much easier to manipulate than standard beams.
Effect: +2D ionization bonus to the saber’s damage against electronic devices (including droids) for each Firkrann crystal installed in the chamber (Maximum Bonus: +3D ion damage).
Hurrikaine (2.000 credits)
They are deep blue to violet lightsaber crystals from the planet Hurikane admired for their unparalleled beauty. When used in lightsabers, they created blades that were very good at penetrating defenses.
Effect: When you wield an attuned lightsaber with Hurrikaine crystal, the wielder gains +1D bonus to the lightsaber skill roll in melee to make a called shot against an opponent with protection of anykind (armor, cover, shields etc). If two of this gems are installed on the same lightsaber, the bonus increase to a maximum +2D for the called. (See Star wars 2nd edition- Revised & Expanded pag. 91) .
Jenruax (980 Credits)
This crystal is a refined form of Opila, cleansed of impurities. It produces a blade of unerring quickness.
Effect: When the Lightsaber Combat power is active, the user receives a +1D bonus to blaster parries for each Jeruax crystal installed in the lightsaber´s crystal chamber.
Kasha (not for sale)
The kasha was a crystal traditionally used by the Cereans as a meditation tool. They were used to clear the mind of distractions in order to create a perfect meditation environment. Patterns were scribed on each face of the crystal to harness its full energy potential, possibly created by Bi-Dar Tyunda thousands of years before. When used as a lightsaber crystal, it helped clear the wielder's mind of distractions, even during tense combat.
Effect: Cerean force sensitive characters gain +2 pip bonus on his willpower skill when the Force of Will power is up! Two of theses crystal on the same lightsaber grant to the wielder a +1D bonus to the willpower skill at same conditions.
Kaiburr (Not for sale)
Those crystals stores Force points, which can be used by a Force-user that takes possession of it. Each crystal stores five Force points, and these Force points can only be used to increase rolls made to employ Force powers. As long as the crystal is in close proximity to the Temple of Pomojema on Mimban, it regains 1 Force point every minute. If removed from Mimban, a crystal does not regain spent Force points, but can be used as a lightsaber crystal. Kaiburr crystals used in this way grant a +2 pip bonus to the lightsaber's damage, as well as a +2 pip bonus to all Lightsaber skill rolls.
>> Adaptation made by Rebellion D6 site (verminary)<<
Kathracite (980 credits)
Adegan crystals, also called Ilum crystals, are one of the most common lightsaber focusing crystals but the small ones can be used as modulating crystal. Kathracite is the most common and cheap modulating crystal. Adding additional adegan crystals to a lightsaber allows more power to flow through the blade.
Effect: Convert the blade to produce stun damage. These crystals are not needed to be prepared beforehand with the force.
Krayt Dragon Pearl (2500 credits)
Taken from the gullet of a krayt dragon, this crystalline “pearl” appears to have refractory qualities that might allow it to function as a lightsaber crystal once properly adapted.
Effect: When the Lightsaber Combat power is active, the user receives a +1D bonus to damage or 1D+2 bonus to damage if another pearl was installed in the lightsaber´s crystal chamber.
Lambent (not for sale)
Lambents were the fruits of a certain Yuuzhan Vong plant. Lambent fields gave fruit when they were located on the surface of a planet or in a gravitational field created by dovin basals. For some reason, lambent plants did not give fruit when placed in an artificial gravity well, such asinterdiction fields existing on starships or space stations; but this can be attributed to New Republic disinformation to the Yuuzhan Vong. When ready for harvesting, the lambent would be cut from a milky sac hidden behind the leaves of the plant that grew it. Before cutting off the lambent, the harvester—or his helper, usually a non-Yuuzhan Vong slave—would have to calm the plant by touching it in a slow manner. Lambents were used as communication crystals or light sources, as they could be dimmed or brightened by the thoughts of whoever possessed them. Anakin Solo encountered lambent-bearing plants on a field on Yavin 4 while in Yuuzhan Vong captivity. Solo used a personally-harvested lambent as a lightsaber crystal. Because he became "attached" to his lambent, he was able to use the crystal as a conduit to vaguely sense any Yuuzhan Vong around him. After the Second Battle of Coruscant, the beaten New Republic forces on Borealis supplied false information to the Yuuzhan Vong that stated they were growing lambents to equip more members of the New Jedi Order with the creatures to attune themselves to the enemy. Furthermore, the misinformation stated that lambents were being grown by the New Republic to power superlasers. Presumably, the organisms were integrated into the life on Zonama Sekot. In 137 ABY, Master Shaper Nei Rin gave Kol Skywalker's lightsaber to Cade Skywalker, which contained a lambent crystal of her shaping.
Effect: Pink Color Blade and if you wield an attuned lightsaber with a lambent crystal, you ignore the normal penalties when using Sense Force and Sense Force Surrounding when trying to sense Yuuzhan Vong. Multiple Lambent crystals doesn´t increase this ability nor give any other adventage against the Yuuzhan Vong.
Luxum (1.480 credits)
When the planet Ambria was in the grip of the dark side, Jedi Master Thon managed to contain the evil to Lake Natth after years of mental battle. Luxum crystals can be formed from the tainted water through long and deep meditation They were more effective against droids, imparting an ion effect to a lightsaber blade when used the construction of the weapon.
Effect: When the Lightsaber Combat power is activated, a light-side character must make a Difficult roll of Willpower or gain a Dark Side Point. While the Lightsaber Combat power is active, the user receives an extra +1D ionization damage bonus against eletronic devices and a special +2 pips lightsaber skill roll in melee when the wielder is a dark-side character. If two of those crystals are installed on the same lightsaber, the damage bonus are cumulative and the lightsaber skill bonus goes up to +1D+1 but the darkside points gained on a failed test are double.
Mephite (9.800 credits)
Small Mephite crystals are good modulating crystal if you can aford the price that miners guild and other unscrupulous merchant ask for this kind of crystal. Adding additional adegan crystals to a lightsaber allows more power to flow through the blade.
Effect: Increase lightsaber skill roll in melee by +1 pip each Mephite crystal installed (Maximum bonus: +2 pips). These crystals are not needed to be prepared beforehand with the force.
Nextor (3.980 credits)
Mined in the mountains of the planet M’haeli, these crystals produce a volatile lightsaber blade that does surprising amounts of damage.
Effect: Adds +1D to the saber’s damage, increases the Control and Sense difficulties for Lightsaber Combat by one level for each crystal installed.
Opila (2.980 credits)
Found in the asteroid field of the Fyrth system, this crystal can be used in lightsaber construction to produce an intense lightsaber beam that seems extraordinarily quick to cut. When set in a lightsaber's crystal chamber, opila generated an intense blade capable of cutting through most materials quickly.
Effect: Adds +1 pip to the saber’s damage, and an additional +1D bonus to damage if an attack succeeds by 10 points or more. If a another Opila crystal is installed, the body strenght of inorganic objects and armors strucked by the blade are reduced in -1D to resist damage.
Phond (1.480 credits)
The strange byproduct of rare impurities bonding during the making of certain alloys due to as-yet-unknown external conditions. This crystal produces a fiercely burning lightsaber beam.
Effect: Adds +2 pips to the saber’s damage against targets with active energy shield, increases the Sense difficulty for Lightsaber Combat by one level. If two phond crystals are installed on the lightsaber the damage bonus goes to +1D agaisnt targets with active shields, but the increased sense difficulty for lightsaber combat remains the same.
Pontite (15.000 credits)
The small pontite shards are remarkable modulating crystals because it produces subsonic waves that most sentient species find soothing.
Effect: While wielding an active lightsaber with attuned pontite, you gain +1D in all persuasion rolls against targets in a 10 meters radius. By the rules, Persuasion is similar to con and bargain — and is a little bit of both. A character using persuasion is trying to convince someone to go along with them — but they aren't tricking the person (that would be con), and they aren't paying them (as in a bargain). However, potential rewards can be offered — talking someone into rescuing a princess from an Imperial holding cell is definitely a persuasion attempt. And stating that the reward would be "bigger than anything you can imagine" without going into details is not unusual.
Qixoni (5.000 credits)
Qixoni crystals were formed on a planet that was destroyed millennia ago when its star went supernova. They are exceedingly rare and also quite powerful. This kind of crystal is dark red in color and will change the blade color to crimson.
Effect: Adds +1D+2 to damage when the Lightsaber Combat power is up (+3D+1 damage if two Qixoni crystals are installed). Add 10 to the difficulties of both Control and Sense for the Lightsaber Combat power, but add the user’s 1 Dark Side Point to each skill roll. If either of these rolls fails, the user can only use the Lightsaber Combat power by accepting a Dark Side Point. The bearer of a Qixoni crystal can recover from fatigue and failed Stamina rolls at half of the normal time, but receives a Dark Side Point every time this effect is accepted.
Relacite (2.500 credits)
For unknown reasons, this Adegan Crystal had the same effects as seen on the Kathracite and Danite crystals when used as modulating crystal. Adding additional adegan crystals to a lightsaber allows more power to flow through the blade.
Effect: Convert the blade to produce stun damage. These crystals are not needed to be prepared beforehand with the force.
Rubat (980 credits)
Mined on the planet Phemis, rubat crystals produce a clearly defined lightsaber blade that a Jedi can easily focus on.
Effect: Once per encounter, when you wield a lightsaber attuned with rubat crystal, you may re-roll one total damage roll with this lightsaber and keep the better result (the effect doesn´t apply on character points spent to increase damage after the roll is made, but can be used with the Force Point rule) . A pair of Rubats allow you to use this ability twice in a encounter.
Ruusan (980 credits)
Ruusan crystals come from the Mid Rim planet of the same name. While not directly affecting a lightsaber’s effectiveness, they aid a Jedi in focusing the Force.
Effect: While wielding a lightsaber that contains a Ruusan crystal, and using the Lightsaber Combat power, the wielder gains a +1 pip bonus to all Force skills for each Ruusan crystal placed in the lightsaber´s chamber. (The -1D penalty for maintaining the Lightsaber Combat power still applies, but this crystal mitigates some of it.)
Sapith (not for sale)
This crystallized material was excreted once every 11 years by the ancient Volice worm of Lwhekk (Ssi-Ruuk´s homeworld in the Unknown Region), now extinct. It produces a more intense lightsaber beam, granting better control.
Effect: Adds +1D to the saber’s damage. While the Lightsaber Combat power is used, it also adds +1D to aim of reflected blaster shots. If another Sapith are present in the lightsaber´s crystal chamber, the effect are double.
Sigil (2.980 credits)
Mined in the Sigil system, these expensive crystals produce a fiercely bright lightsaber blade that sears on contact. It was a brownish-yellow color in nature, and when used in a lightsaber, the beam produced was incredibly potent and dealt greater damage. The Jedi Nemo had such a crystal; also the Sith Lord Marka Ragnos had one in his possession.
Effect: Adds +1D+1 to the saber’s damage. If another Sigil crystal is placed in the same lightsaber, the damage bonus is increased to +2D+2.
Solari (Not for Sale)
There are many famous lightsaber crystals spoken of in the history of the Jedi Order, though few are as powerful as the legendary Solari crystal. An artifact of true light side power, only those Jedi who are pure in spirit can wield a lightsaber equipped with this gleaming white gem. When the great Jede Master Ood Bnar initiated his life-cycle change after a thousand years of serving the Order, he bequeathed the Solari Crystal to his most promising student, a young female Jedi names Shaela Nuur. When Shaela disappeared shortly after the time of the Great Hunt, the Solari crystal vanished with her. Legends tells there is another solari crystal but none known the exact location. Some scholars said that was only visible in the late evening and was found on the planet Sacorria, a peaceful yet secretive planet, others claim that crystal lies hidden on the frozen world of Rhen Var. Utilizing the crystal in one's lightsaber would increase the width of its blade, increasing a Jedi's ability to deflect blaster bolts.
Effect: Increases Control and Sense difficulties for Lightsaber Combat by one level for each Dark Side Point that the user has. While the Lightsaber Combat power is up, a lightsaber with a Solari crystal gives +2 pip bonus to deflect blaster bolts, +1D damage bonus against normal targets but the blade get an additional +1D damage versus dark side opponents.
Upari (4.980 credits)
Strangely, this crystal is usually encountered scattered in the orbit of primarily forest worlds. It is brittle but versatile, and a master Jedi can get it to produce many effects. The cutting altered the effects of the crystal making it more powerful.
Effect: Adds a +1D bonus to one Lightsaber Combat bonus (damage, lightsaber skill rols in melee or blaster deflection), or reduces one skill (Control or Sense) difficulty for Lightsaber Combat by one level. The benefit is chosen when the crystal is installed in the lightsaber. A lightsaber with a Upari crystal has an increased repair difficulty of one additional difficulty level (including construction difficulty). If two upari are installed on the same lightsaber, the jedi can choose the benefits normally but the lightsaber repair difficulty increase by two levels (including construction). Special: If the wielder want alter the cuting and increase the power of the crystal, an lightsaber Repair Heroic roll must be made. If successful, the effects listed above is now +2D instead of 1D. Failing in this roll, means the crystal is destrouyed.
Special Modulating Crystals
Barab Ore Ingot
Barab ore was a resource to Barab I, in the Triellus Trade Route. It actually lay on the planet's surface, meaning it was exposed to high doses of radiation and torrential downpours daily. This ore could be found in concentrated ingots that actually stored and magnified the radiation.
Blade Color: White-Gray
Effect: When placed in a lightsaber, the ingot produced a blade that burned almost to the point of losing its cohesion. The heat generated from the blade is very intense and flammable objects struck by that catch fire (3D heat damage each round until extinguished). Opponents can avoid the damage if are successful on a Difficult Difficulty Dexterity test (no multi-action penalty). Two Barab Ore ingots in the same lightsaber will melt it if ignited by the wielder giving the same heat damage on the character.
Average Value: 8.700 credits
Lava Crystal
A lava crystal was a lightsaber crystal that could only be found on volcanic planets and moons such as Mustafar. It generated a blade that resembled lava. The crystal itself was less focused and concentrated than normal crystals, therefore the extreme heat of the blade creating bits of plasma flame and sometimes splashed and dripped out from the blade itself. This crystal was rumored to be very powerful.
Blade Color: Fire Orange
Effect: When placed in a lightsaber, the blade can do a considerable damage. Roll and add on a 5 or 6 on the Wild Die (Character Point dice spent on damage suffer the same effect) when rolling for damage with this weapon, not just on a normal 6.
Average Value: No comercial value.
Llordian Gemstones
They originated during the Kanz Disorders, when the enslaved Lorrdians (near-human race of planet Llord in Kans Sector) were forced to develop kinetic communication to communicate with one another. This gave the Lorrdians the ability to better predict the actions of others, including their Argazdan overlords, by careful observation of subtle changes in body language. A few Force sensitive Lorrdians imbued certain gemstones with similar abilities.
Blade Color: Varies
Effect: The crystal can only be prepared with the force by a Llordian. If some of these crystals are found outside, roll 1D. If you get a result of 6, the gemstone is already imbued with the force and can be used as normal. When these gems were installed in a lightsaber, the user was better able to read the actions of their opponents. This enhanced the wielder's overall defenses and ability to deflect blaster bolts. In game terms, the wielder gain a bonus +1D to deflect blaster and add +3 to all attack and defense rolls when the Combat Sense power is activated (total +5 bonus). The combat sense power affect the blaster deflection rolls at same manner.
Average Value: 6.450 credits.
Rainbow Gem
Rainbow gems were brilliant treasures that were not actually gems, but silicon-based lifeforms native to the planet Gallinore. The gems, often used in medallions, were considered very valuable, as just one was worth the price of a Calamarian cruiser. They matured only after thousands of years, and the glow they produced was caused by their inner light. Despite their biologic nature, rainbow gems could be used as lightsaber crystals. Tenel Ka, the Princess of Hapes had a tiara of rainbow gems worth the price of an entire solar system. She used some of the crystals in her second lightsaber made from a Rancor Toth, after her first one malfunctioned and led to the loss of her arm.
Blade Color: Teal or Rainbow effect can take place (shift colors all time) with all three gems inside (buider´s choice).
Effect: Despite the nature of the Rainbow Gem, it can be used as primary focussing crystal (damage 5D) but require the lightsaber repair roll difficulty to construct is increased by 3 levels and the wielder gains +1D in all sense skill rolls. Each Rainbow gem add a +1D sense skill roll (total +3D with all three rainbow gems in the same lightsaber).
Average Value: 125 million estimated.
Permafrost
This unique and extremely rare crystal is found on Hoth. The exact origin of Permafrost is unknown. However, in 2 ABY, it came into the possession of the township of Aurilia on Dathomir.
Effect: When used in a Jedi's lightsaber, the blade glowed a deep, icy blue and gain the Silence modification (see Netguide for lightsaber construction). Extra permafrost crystal doesn´t add new effects.
Average Value: 2.000 credits.
Stygium
This kind of crystals are only found on Aeten II and Maramere. In its pure crystal form, it was known to be suitable for use as a lightsaber crystal. It was known that when refined Stygium was mounted on a personalized lightsaber and wielded by a Force-sensitive, the natural cloaking attributes of the crystal would augment the power of a stealth-minded Jedi in remaining unseen.
Effect: No change in the basic color of the blade but pure crystal generate a difuse blur around the wielder when the lightsaber is active: +2 to Hide and Sneak rolls. Refined crystal grant the basic bonus of the pure form and has a more powerful emanation that can be manipulated by a Force-sensitive (maximum range:5 meters radius). An opposed contest is rolled between the wielder´s Alter Skill and the opponent apropriated perception related skill each round. If the Jedi wins, the opponent had a weird feeling that he is been watch but he can’t locate the source. A jedi can be detected by audio-, heat- and infrared-based sensors, but to the naked eyes and to visual sensors he is a blur. Droids can be fooled by a Very Difficult difficulty Alter roll, if successful the jedi send wrong readings to them and he is treated like a small interference in their sensors. If another Stygium crystal exist on the same lightsaber, the wielder receive a additional +3 bonus to Hide and Sneak rolls (Total +5 bonus).
Average Value: 3.245 credits
Ultima-pearl
Ultima-Pearls were uncommon, silvery, lustrous, spherical pearls found on the deep ocean floor of Dac, that could be used as a form of lightsaber crystal. It required considerable skill to properly install an Ultima-Pearl. Jedi Master Cilghal used an ultima-pearl in her lightsaber.
Blade Color: Viridian.
Effect: The wielder receive +1D+1 with an attack using Lightsaber skill roll in melee and +2D damage bonus. Increase the difficulty to install this crystal by 1 level. If a second Ultima-Pearl is installed, the to hit bonus is 2D instead of 1D+1.
Average Value: Undetermined.
Velmorite
Velmorite was a yellow lightsaber crystal found only on the planet Velmor. They were used to produce high quality Velmorite energy swords, though other applications were certainly possible. When used in a lightsaber, this crystal created a fine, thin blade for graceful, fluid wielding.
Blade color: Light Yellow.
Effect: The wielder receive +2D+2 for all attacks with Lightsaber skill roll. The second Velmorite crystal will grant a +3D bonus instead of the standard 2D+2.
Average Value: 3.000 credits.
Vexxtal
Little is known about Vexxtal Crystals or their origins. They are generally only found in the lightsabers of dark side of the Force-users.
Blade Color: Blazing Red
Effect: A corrupting aura is left on those wounded by lightsabers with this crystal. If the attack hits a Wounded character, the wielder deal a extra damage equal the half of the Alter skill die rounded up (ie. Alter 4D will deal 2D corrupting damage). Further, the target will take half that amount of damage the following round. The second round after the attack hits, the target takes 1/4 the original damage. The target continues taking damage for 2 rounds, each time halving the amount of damage done. A pair of Vexxtal will give a extra +1 pip normal damage bonus to the blade.
Warning: Using this crystal will give 1 dark side point each time a attack hits a wounded target.
Average Value: Undetermined.
Special Note:
THERE IS NO WAY TO CREATE A BLACK LIGHTSABER BLADE. Don´t even try it, Black is abscence of light... the infamous SW FU Black lightsaber is just a horrendous nightmare created by an delusional gamedesign team that wanted something very unique to their videogame...
