|
|
Just finished watching Droids the Animated Series, episode 6, "The New King". In which Jessica Meade is flying her freighter to Tammuz-an. While doing this she is attacked by a local pirate.
The ship was interesting for two reasons: 1) instead of escape pods it had a bridge that was also a smaller spacecraft; and 2) it had a shock absorbing ram on the front.
I thought such an interesting ship would be detailed somewhere but I cannot find any data. Help would be appreciated. I have also post a picture of the ship and these assets.

Nope. The King's Ransom was a fuel transport ship. The picture I posted are of her ship which appeared in the episode previously. I am very surprised that there is no listing of it anywhere. It had a cool and design AND it had a cool thing about it, the cockpit was also an escape pod. _________________ Don Diestler

When you think about it, shouldn't that be a more common feature on most Starfighter Scale ships ? |

The idea is to make the escape pod the place you usually already are. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

It was, as far the the Millennium Falcon went. it's just that when WEG did up their deckplans for the Falcon, they didn't follow what Lucasfilm did.
It certainly makes a lot of sense to make the cockpit (and even some other areas where people might expect to spend a lot of time like the sleeping quarters and lounge) into escape pods, or at least put the pods right next to them. |
