The Mk19 gives a nice set of stats to use for a crew served concussion grenade launcher like the one on the AT-ST. |

The damage should read 7D+2 and be character scale.
I assume you're compensating for the lack of bi/tri pod and the fact that it's being carried with an incredibly heavy back pack generator.
Heh, you should buy a power droid to attach your blaster to. I can see it as your sidekick, waddling into battle with it's battle cry:
"GONK!" |

It's not a particularly large repeater, it's certainly not an E-Web. The gun itself looks lighter than a 1919 or a SAW, it's the generator backpack that's going to be the problem. I'd up the cost or restriction as it's a modified weapon.
This gun is still kicking around after all:

Skill: Blaster: repeating blaster
Ammo: 200
Cost: 3,500
Availability: 2, X
Range: 3-60/150/400
Damage: 7D |

According to Gry Sarth's Weapons Stats, this blaster does 7D+2, not 5D+2.
My personal favorite is the Merr-Sonn underslung rotary blaster carbine. _________________ "I still wouldn't have a roll for it - but that's just how I roll." |

According to Heir to the Empire Sourcebook (and to Wookieepedia) it's a stationary weapon (usually mounted on tripod).

This one looks like requiring tripod too. I think modifications to make it mobile could look like that:
Model: Merr-Sonn Mark II Heavy Repeating Blaster, portable version
Type: Heavy repeating blaster
Scale: Character
Skill: Blaster: repeating blaster
Ammo: 120 (backpack power pack)
Cost: 3500 + 500 (belt mount)
Availability: 3, X
Range: 3-30/100/300
Damage: 7D+1
Notes: Weapon is very bulk - requires 4D STR to use and it has to be used from hip (-2D to blaster skill). STR requirement may be lowered to 3D and skill penalty reduced to -1D by using special belt mount.
I dropped scale to character (this is the weapon primary target), but I also added to-hit penalty. Changed range to identical to E-11 or BlasTech Light Repeating blaster (range is 300m, but it's hard to hit at this distance due to skill penalty). Added ammo (backpack cannot provide unlimited supply). Damage is reduced by 1 pip because some elements (like cooling system) had to be shrinked to make it portable, so power output is slightly lower. |

One interesting thing about ammo: 1E has that you don't even keep track, and although we do in our game, nobody has ever come close to using all of their ammo before.
This leads me to believe it might even be better to simply stop keeping track, just to keep the game moving faster. If there was a particularly long firefight with 2R&E, the GM could always use a "1" result on the wild die to have a character run out of ammo. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Often that is what i have happen on a complication with blasters.. The power pack runs out or drops out..
Though technically you should also be changing out the gas packs as well as the power packs. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I'm asking players to keep track on their ammo. For normal blaster pistols and rifles it's not important (100 ammo is a lot), but in case of heavy pistols (25 ammo), repeaters (my HRs say that one repeater "shot" takes 6 ammo) or hold-outs/disruptors (just few rounds of ammo) it's more important.
Anyways, I like your idea of complication |

Thanks.. Some players have gotten used to it happening they hold a spare one in their off hand, so when it comes up, they can quickly slap a new one in.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
