I don't recall having seen a large price list including mundane prices for things like lodging or foodstuffs. Is there anything more comprehensive than the R&E (Boba Fett cover) gamemaster screen?
I usually just make something up but it's nice to start from some common point. _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |

I believe I have seen prices listed for various starport amenities. I don't remember where it is. As for regular foods and cheap lodging, I pick an arbitrary number.
Credits aren't much of an object in my game. _________________ "I still wouldn't have a roll for it - but that's just how I roll." |

Thanks, I know there are random things scattered hither and yon in various books but I was hoping there was something I had missed/forgotten that might have taken a stab at this. _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |

I've seen prices for food and lodging, but yeah... they're scattered. And it really depends on what planet you're on. High class establishments in the core will be expensive, just because they're high class. Way outer rim are going to be expensive because it's hard to keep them supplied and you're paying for all the shipping. Then there's all range of prices from here to there and everywhere in between.
I think WEG kind of just made things up as they went along to fit the adventure they were publishing. I'd suggest you do the same. _________________ __________________________________

I found this on another forum:
http://forum.rpg.net/archive/index.php/t-663211.html
Quote: | It's in the gamemaster's screen Revised (http://www.amazon.com/Star-Gamemaster-Screen-Editon-Revised/dp/0874312884/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1352049454&sr=1-5&keywords=star+wars+gamemaster+screen). (But don't pay that price for it! Crap!)
I can help a little, since I have a copy.
Housing
Hovel Availability 1 Cost (Rent) 150-250/month
Regular Apartment Availability 1 Cost (Rent) 250-500/month
Luxury Apartment Availability 2, F Cost (Rent) 500-1,400/month
House Availability 1 Cost (Rent) 750-1,800+/month (Buy) 35,000
Storage Space Availability 1 Cost (Rent) 10-100/month
Established Farm Availability 1 Cost (Buy) 1,000-50,000+
New Settlement Availability 1 Cost (Buy) 50-50,000
Buying Passage
Luxury Liner Cost 1,000
"No Frills" liner Cost 500
Steerage Cost 100
Chartered Ship Cost 10,000
Route (multiply this by the passage cost)
Heavily-travelled Route x1
Common Route x2
Rarely-travelled Route x3
Uncommon Route x5
"You want to go where?" x6 or more
Everything else on the chart is just equipment, and the prices for most of that are given in the core book.
Costs for food and drinks are not given on this chart, but there are lots of examples in Wretched Hives of Scum and Villainy (http://www.amazon.com/Wretched-Hives-Scum-Villainy-Star/dp/087431500X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352051175&sr=8-1&keywords=wretched+hives+of+scum+and+villainy). Generally, a basic meal is one to three credits, a fancy meal is four to ten credits, a sumptuous meal is eleven to twenty credits; whatever is on tap is one or two credits, a mixed drink is three to eight, and something fancy is nine to twenty credits per glass/shot. There are all sorts of Star Wars drinks if you need names, you can google for them; start with Lum, Renian Irongut, Socorran Raava, and the infamous Reactor Core. And obviously, the closer towards the Core Worlds you get, the more these prices tend to increase. |
I hope it helps. _________________ "I still wouldn't have a roll for it - but that's just how I roll." |

Pretty much. For logging i have seen some 'adventures' where it has cost less than 300 credits for a weeks stay (think motel 6), and others where it was upwards of 4k a NIGHT (think the hyatt in manhattan) _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

To all, but especially drondarr. I forgot there was an equipment list in the booklet too. Just what I was after... I am happy to do the seat of the pants method but like the relative costs of things to make SOME sense. _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |
