I know this is out off topic but all my thoughts are with Boston tonight.
I can only hope that there are no more casualties and that the injured will recover soon.

Thanks, man. I wasn't at Copley when it happened, but I have a couple of friends that were running and I haven't heard from one of them yet.

I sent a message to Dromdarr_Alark, and I'm hoping he checks in, but I don't know if any of our other current members live here. Though anyone could have been visiting, of course.

I just heard back from the last of my runner friends. She was pulled off at mile 17 and redirected home. So, I've got nearly everyone accounted for.

Jame Rowe used to visit the site and he's in the area. I even gamed with him once. However, I haven't seen him on here in a year, but I'll see if he responds to messages. That's the only other Bostonian that I know is from the Pit. I'll send him an e-mail just in case he doesn't get message notifications from the boards.

Yeah, Jame Rowe sent me a message last night. Neither he nor his friends were caught in the blast. As far as I know, that's all the members of the Pit that live near here.

I have friends in Boston as well who were attending the event, thankfully I've heard back from all of them...

Have to say, social media has made it far easier to hear from friends in such situations...

I grew up without all this internet stuff, can't imagine how long it would have taken to get good news back then... Ha, and mobile phones? :-p God I feel old suddenly... Smile
