The wrist spring loader is a footnote on one specific weapon from Galladnium's Fantastic Tech. Look at the Czerka Adjudicator, page 73, bottom of the left column.
It's also in Gry's weapons Compilation page 65.
Quote: | Model: Czerka Adjudicator
Type: Slug throwing hold-out pistol
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms
Ammo: 4
Cost: 300, 50 (wrist clamp magnetic holstering lock), 10
(ammo)
Availability: 2, F or R
Fire Rate: 2
Range: 1-5/10/25
Damage: 3D+1
Game Notes: If optional spring clamp is employed, user
gains +1D to the character’s firearms skill to quickdraw
against an opponent (for quickdraw rules, see Han Solo and
the Corporate Sector Sourcebook, page 122)

Arms and Equipment Guide (page 22) |

Aha! That's where it was. _________________ Blasted rules. Why can't they just be perfect? |

Nicely done, Redstar! 8)
Doug heads off to check Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook to read more about quickdraws. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Wow! There's a whole page on it! Nice!!! 8)
Edit: Just read it over, and it does't really address the speed/initiative of such an action in relation to other characters (that might be taking actions in that same round).
In other words, if someone with a low Perception moves last in the turn, what good is quickdraw at that point? _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Its kind of a moot point, as you cannot really DO something with the hold-out except annoy your opponent... _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |

Unless you use the optional damage rules, so that a character with a high Blaster skill can boost their damage by making a precision shot. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Even without using any optional rules, some adversaries can't handle even a regular hit from some of the weaker weapons. If their Strength is only 2D, say... _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
