Caster grins slightly and nods in the direction of the Wookiees: "I was wondering when you were going to mention your friends." Caster, suddenly wondering where his backup was, takes a quick glance around the bar.
After another drink Caster sighs and says, "Alright, I'm definitely curious. What's the job?" |

Sovain blinks a few times to get rid of the water. Tries concentrating on Koshka for a bit. "Hey buddy. Are you alright?" He looks around. "I can't see anything, Darn it!" Sovian looks around and tries staying together with Koshka. "I would like to know what the heck did that..." |

Vontyr Mekk sat in a darkened corner of the Red Bark, nursing a drink as he tried to size up his situation. The Sith Empire has suffered a staggering defeat at Russan, likely a fatal one. And now the Republic was placing bounties on known associates. He absently looked at the flimsy in his hand, the one advertising the 5,000credit bounty for information leading to his capture. Crumpling the flimsi in his fist, he shoves it back into his pocket, his attention drifting back to the exchange going on near the bar.
Caster sets his drink back down as he waits for Dirk's reply, "I've got a simple supply run that needs to be made. 25,000 credits," His smile seems to grow, "You get the coordinates for delivery when you leave the system, and you leave in the morning." The harry man half burps, half growls before continuing, "Agreed?" Behind him, the two wookiees stand and begin to walk towards the bar where Caster and Dirk are talking.
When Vin asks where the news story is taking place, she looks up at the holoprojector. Its obvious from the surprise on her face, that she hadnt been paying attention to the news story before now, "I think that's the correctional facility a few levels down from here, . . . " She trails off, her eyes taking in the scene on the holo. As Vin watches, the scene degenerates into a one sided bloodbath as the dark figure with the red lightsaber carves a path of carnage through the law enforcement trying to contain him. Behind him, several other figures can be seen moving through the smoke and pulse wave blasts.
Koshka rumbles that he is ok, his massive paw grabbing Sovain by the shoulder and dragging him along. At times, Sovain can see blurred shapes, and motion through the teargas. When the pair finally steps out into the open, Sovain continues to blink away the tears in his eyes. . As his vision begins to clear, he is greeted by a the sight of a battlefield, the crimson blade seems to be everywhere at once, carving through law enforcement with no visible effort. Even as he watches, he sees the remaining law enforcement officers begin to break and run for safety. Behind him, he can hear the sound of rioting drawing closer from inside of the prison. |

Vin nods at the news the receptionist gives him. "If for some reason he comes in here, I'd give him anything he demands. You can't fight that."
Turning abruptly on his heel, Vin heads out the exit, looking around for a way to get down to the prison level. |

Caster eyes the two Wookiees and with a nod in their direction says, "It doesn't appear that I have a choice in the matter."
Caster drains the last of his beverage and continues: "Something also tells me that it won't be quite so simple. How and when will I get paid?" |

Vontyr snarls, pursing inhuman lips as he slides the crumpled "Wanted" flimsy with his name on it into the forearm bracer of his armoured gauntlet, one of several small, subtle equipment pockets incorporated with his Mandalorian kit. He leans onto the table of the shadowy booth, circling thick, red alloy plated arms around his drink and helmet like a convict in a jailhouse mess hall, as if guarding his property from other inmates.
With a deft natural talent he almost imperceptably moves one hand to his thick chest plate, where two embossed metallic crests are attached proudly, the top one a Mandalorian Clan insignia. His hand grips onto the one below this, a Sith rank symbol which he clutches with tremendous strength and tears its spot-welded advertisement right from his armour as if it were plastic. This he tosses underneath the table for the womprats to play with.
He glances around nearby tables at other patrons, his yellow eyes on the watch for bounty hunters or anyone else taking interest in him. In the history of the Clans no Taung Mandalorian was ever caught off guard and he wasn't about to be the first. It was a smart tactic to keep his eyes open from now on...and to find some independent spacers to run with. The first ex-Sith to be picked up will be the easy prey, the loners and lost. There is safety in numbers and legitimacy.
Vontyr let the conversation going on near the bar filter into his conscious thoughts. Some strangers talking, wookiee thugs and a spacer who looked familiar. He'd seen that twin-holster rig before on a troop transport pilot during his Sith missions. Vontyr never forgets a gun or the twitchy reflexes telegraphing someone knows how to use them.
The pilot looked like he was being forced into a job. His employer was probably aware of the pilot's Sith background and figured it was something to hold over him, that and his Wookiee backup seemed to give him the upper hand. A man alone is easy prey.
And this employer probably intended on cashing in on the Republic bounty for Sith when the job was done, getting paid twice over and cutting costs in the one hit. Vontyr knew to expect these things, it wasn't exactly his first worshik rodeo. But was the pilot prepared for this outcome?
It was an opportunity. This pilot could use another strong arm. And Vontyr himself could use a legitimate job running with a starship crew to avoid looking like a lone Sith hanging around cantinas just waiting for bounty hunters to show up.
He guzzled the rest of his drink and donned his helmet, the Mandalorian viewplate widening his vision into the UV and IR spectrums as the power sockets clicked into place. The Taung then squeezed himself out from the booth and stood, slinging a heavy blaster rifle across his shoulder and walking over towards the group near the bar, comforted by the heavy thud of his armoured footsteps and jingle of holstered and sheathed weaponry.
Walking over he moves to stand beside the spacer, the pilot Caster Thrall. He greets him, trying to sound friendly, trying to give his employer the impression this man is not alone. Hoping Caster will catch on quickly and take the opportunity to help each other out.
"G'day pilot," he says to Caster, extending an armoured gauntlet to shake his hand.
"You rememember me, sure as bantha poodoo I remember you. You got my team into more than one hot zone under fire. Fancy seeing you here."
"So. You got some work for us or what? Could use some credits you know."
Vontyr turns his helmet among the group, sizing up the wookiees and resting to level towards Dirk. Staring at Dirk he lets his hand drop to the vicinity of his sheathed vibroblade, but continues to address Caster.
"And it looks like you could use an extra gauntlet." |

Sovain looks behind him, "Darn it." He quickly thinks and starts heading to a random direction, and starts running from the riot behind him. "Hey your highness, you better hang on." |

Beside him, Sovain sees Koshka kneel down and pick up a comlink from a dead police officer, switching it on, he keys in a number, he rumbles into the small hand held unit, "Brother, I just got out." He ducks behind a police repulsorlift as a shot strikes newby, "Me and a friend need someome to pick us up, NOW!"
As Vin steps out of the hospital, he sees several police repulsorlifts scream past as they streak towards the lower levels of the city. It dosnt take Vin long to find a turbolift leading down.
Dirk seems to cringe as Vontyr steps up and injects himself into the conversation. His attention divided, and looking somewhat less sure of himself, he lets his gaze linger on Vontyr a moment longer before looking back at Caster, "Half now, half upon delivery." The harry man takes a deep breath, his chest hair seems to bristle as he does so. Seeing Dirks reaction to the newcomer, the Twi'lek woman moves closer to Caster again, "He wants full payment plus expenses before he takes on your cargo," She says.
Roourarca's comlink chirps, "Hello?" He rumbles into the phone. He hears the last person he expected to hear on the other end of the line, "Brother, I just got out." Was that the sound of blaster fire in the background? "Me and a friend need someome to pick us up, NOW!" Koshka? How'd he get out? I thought he was serving life for that thing he did to that poor guy with the shockball scoop and that old generator? |

Vin takes the turbolift down to the lower levels; as he exits the lift, he draws his hood up over his head, relying on the Force to alert him to any impending danger.

"Can't believe it!" Snarls Rouurarca in loud voice while he jumps out of the hammock he was lying. He moved quickly thought the little room he had hired in one of the low leves of the city, grabbing his girar and weapons.
"Years without a sign and now he calls in the middle of a prison break!"
He walks out and jumps in two steps to the next door and almost break it down knocking at it.
" Thomka!!" He yells " I know you are there fat ball of fur! Give me your repulsorlift codes now!" He slams the door again "I am not asking Thomka!!"
A few seconds later he is jumping into the repulsorlift and throws it to the level were some enforcer and emergency vehicles were heading too.
"Can't believe that I am running to help him!" He roars

(OOC I'm kind of stuck waiting until Caster responds and/or gives some cues, the ball is really in his court at this point, hope it's not inappropriate to mention this in the thread but didn't want anyone to think I wasn't looking in from time to time to participate or going AWOL or anything) |

Caster tries hard to hide his surprise at Vontyr's arrival and doesn't bother himself with the question of where he had seen this warrior before as he would have plenty of time to figure that out later. Instead, it was time to seize the moment and take back control of this previously one-sided deal.
Caster flashes a big grin and catches Vontyr's hand in a solid hand shake. "Its about time you showed up! I was staring to wonder if I was flying solo on this one."
Cocky grin still very much intact, Caster releases from the hand shake and throws his arm around the Twi'lek before continuing, "Dirk, here was just about fill us in on the cargo he wants us to transport." He pauses before adding: "And I was just about to tell him that we prefer cash."
Caster glances at Dirk and then the wookiees. He then firmly grips his now empty glass in his left hand, ready to use it as a weapon should things go south quickly. |
