Suggestion: Announcement threads

I don't hit up this section of the forum often, but, when I do, I'm struck by the large number of pinned/stickied Announcement threads, many of which aren't really relevant anymore. I suggest a quick run through of all the threads and unsticky the ones that aren't really relevant anymore.

For example, we probably don't need our attention drawn to the fact that the forum was upgraded in 2006, or that ICQ numbers were taken out of user info back in 2003, etc.

Letting these threads fall off the top of the list will clean things up a bit and reduce scrolling to see the non-stickied topics here.

I'll second that!

There are a LOT of stickied posts that could be dropped. All of the stickies is part of the reason I dont check in on this part of the forum very often.

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion! I've removed the majority of announcement threads and added one consolidated list here.
