IC - Episode IV There in the Dark

As Tobias, glances toward the Red Claw speeders just hanging there, he will try to gauge the distance from he to they and the time it would take him to close that distance.

Getting the feeling that something isn't quite right, Tobias asks Daevon, "How would you feel about another mid-air collision?"

The KAWD parks and scans the area looking out for an ambush.

"Does being Giric have a PTP Link to contact the others? This unit's internal comlink is offline."

Roth attempts to grasp the Twi'lek by the back of the head and smash it forward into the console to knock her out.

Providing he's successful, he'll then take the controls.

Reylan

"Bout time someone fixed that door," the man says, turning away from Reylan and the door. "Come on, let's take a break."

"Are you kidding?" the second loader says. "We're already behind schedule as it is! Who is that by the door anyway!"

KAWD

"I don't carry PTPs," Giric says.

The KAWD looks around, not seeing any sign of possible ambush. Unless, that is, someone wants to try mugging them for money. Most of the beings that actually look like they belong in this part of Taris look like they might be desperate for money. The upper class humans just look out of place. Then there's that flashy dressed being. The KAWD notes their a Sullustan and that they look to have money to buy flashy clothes. But they do still look like their conducting some sort of buisness down here.

Quin-Tain

Quin-Tain drops down so Roth can make the jump from airspeeder to airspeeder. He calls for Roth to forget what he's doing but Roth seems too intent to fight with the Twi'lek. He watches as the Twi'lek suddenly thows the airspeeder into a hard left turn, standing it up on it's left wing. Neither she nor Roth are strapped in and both begin to fall.

Ali

Ali hunkers down in her seat as the constable continues rising up in the air, using bridges as spring boards to take them higher and higher. As she does so Ali remembers she's still carrying the strange Guardian weapon. It might prove the only defense for their airspeeder. But though she now knows how to fire it there's still the question of making it's shots explode where she wants.

Tobias

"What do you mean another mid-air collision?" Daevon asks

Roth

Roth grabs the back of the Twi'lek's head and slams her into the console. She lets out a grunt and turns to look at Roth, blood just starting to drip from the slight gash in her forehead.

"You'll pay for that, Jedi. See you in hell" she shouts as she throws the yoke to the left, hard. Roth can feel himself starting to fall already.

(OOC: Reylan used 3 CP to affect the first guys mind.

Quin-Tain is to the left of the airspeeder Roth is on.)

Reylan pushes into the second man's mind Its the mechanic. This was scheduled. The owner extended your deadline to allow the expensive mechanic to work. A break sounds awesome, your back is sore.

Quin-Tain, seeing the other speeder starting to list towards him, utters an oath, "Kark!", and quickly hits the accelerator, pulling a 45-90° turn to the right to avoid the collision.

With a nod in their direction, Tobias says, "Those two Red Claw speeders are making me nervous, and if we don't deal with them now, we may have to deal with them later."

Tobias will attempt to pull his speeder out of traffic and head toward the Red Claws, all without drawing attention to himself.

"Can being Giric turn this unit's inbuilt comlink back on?"

Roth makes a frantic grab at the Twi'lek. Provided he grabs her in time to keep from falling out of the speeder, he replies, "If I pay, so do you."

Ali carefully pokes her head up and scans the area for any of the Red Claw speeders.

Roth puts all his focus on the speeder's controls, reaching out with the Force to pilot the vessel despite the mad Twi'lek's intentions to the contrary.
((OOC: Concentration, then Telekinesis. CPs if necessary.))

Reylan

"On second thought, I suppose we do have a few minutes for a break," the second loader says.

Quin-Tain

Quin-Tain reacts to the turning airspeeder slower than he anticipated. The two airspeeder's collide as the Red Claw airspeeder levels out. Quin-Tain feels the airspeeder shudder and his left wing rises up, throwing him into a bank.

Roth

Roth manages to throw the control column back in the opposite direction quickly enough to level out the airspeeder, allowing him to grab the edge of the left wing before he follows the Twi'lek over the side and down to the landing platform below. The move isn't in time to prevent the two airspeeders from colliding as the Red Claw airspeeder strike's Quin-Tain's. Roth finds one of his hands jarred loose and is lucky the two didn't collide any closer to where he currently is or else he would have been crushed between the two.

KAWD

"That will take time we may not have," Giric says. "Unless we find a place to hide out."

Ali

Looking out Ali sees a pair of Red Claw airspeeders hovering near the tunnel Reylan, Arek, the KAWD, and Giric took as if waiting for someone to come out. She also sees one below collide with Quin-Tain's airspeeder. Tobias and Deavon's airspeeder changes it's course, dropping back down as it heads towards the two hovering Red Claws.

Tobias

"You're crazy," Daevon says as Tobias changes course. Their airspeeder plummets downward as Tobias takes it over the side of the bridge he's currently using as a springboard. They drop a few hundred meters before the repulsorlifts kick in against the landing platform, Tobias feeling his stomach rising up into his throat. He suddenly realizes that he has to be careful about allowing the repulsorlift field going over the edge of the landing platform. If they don't move fast enough and get the field onto the bridge they'll plummet down the shaft.

ooc: danm strong willed cargo loaders!! id rather spend the CPs then fight them though. the way of the Jedi and all lol

Reylan nods to himself then remains where he is until the door is completely shut. Once it closes he whispers to Arek "Lets go for a ride" with a smile on his face.

He moves over to the truck, getting in the drivers seat and familiarizing himself with the controls. It has been a long time since he has driven a truck.
