Checking the Chrono, Anala spends a few more minutes with the others before giving Tiny a nod and heading for her quarters. Along the way, she makes a few notes on her datapad, her mind already on the problem of how to train Tiny to be subtle, . . . |

Assuming everything works out with his prosthetic and it doesn't fly off while he swings it around Tiny makes his way back to wherever the personal effects are stored and gets his tools, using his downtime to continue work on his shield before the next meal. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Anala spends some time making notes in her quarters. Glancing up at the chrono, she is surprised to see how much time has passed. She looks back at her datapad one more time before turning the device off. Satisfed with her plan, and hoping that Tiny dosnt have a quick temper, she sets off towards the mess hall for evening meal. |

Slightly surprised by the physical interaction, and the unfamiliar words, Rownn turns to regard Kanwulf, his mind working hard for a moment… then it clears as he turns to the Force and his recently acquired capabilities, and the meaning of the words becomes clear, and he smiles, "There is still much to do in this life, but, the end must come when it is to be."
He steps back to take in the full image of Kanwulf, "Not bad, I hope I turn out as well." _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

The prosthetic does not fit very well at all. Movement causes the thing to move around and chafe his stump. It just is not in Tiny's abilities to completely secure it to the exact shape of his stump, creating some points which push harder on his stump, and others that do not touch at all. However with many straps to support the weight it is able to swing around. It moves around as he swings, but does not fall off (ooc: think full backpack (chest / back) harness with straps attaching in many parts. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

The Mess hall is deserted and contains no food. She makes her way tot he ship where Zinn and Takii are working and finds that there is a basic mess there. Dried food and a re-hydrator. are present and that is about it. The food does not taste great but it fills her up. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

Tiny makes a note to see Takii and see if he can get the prosthetic adjusted. When he notices Takii at the ship eating he asks the verpine if there is anything he can do to make it more comfortable. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Takii grabs his hand tools and brings Tiny down to the medical area to work on the prosthetic, trying to make it fit better. |

Tiny waits, allowing the verpine to take measurements and answering any questions he has about how the prosthetic fits as best he can.
OOC: Not sure how much can be done to make the prosthetic fit better with hand tools as it is basically a solid chunk of durasteel but perhaps a rubber/leather cap for Tiny's stump would work. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Before heading to the ship to work with Takli, Zinn pulls Tiny aside and says, "I know that probably won't fit very well at first, especially since we didn't have dedicated specialists working to make it. We might be able to make it fit better with padding between the end of your arm and the prosthetic; will probably make it more comfortable as well." |

"The physical was easy enough," Garolf continues in his native tounge. To those who don't speak it it sounds like a bunch of snarls, growls, yips, and barks rather than recognizable words. "But it is no good if one does not know who one is. Better to start getting used to being Kanwulf now than to wait. Though you do not have the same luxury, you must first die. And before you can die we must find an ally, someone you shall look like."
Garolf considers for a moment what he knows about Chalkazza. He'd said that meant ghost, or tracker, in the shadows. But who exactly was Chalkazza?
"Kanwulf hates Jedi. And he's worked for the Empire on more than one occasion, which is how he managed to get some of his equipment. Other bits and pieces he's stolen," Garolf says, switching to Basic. "What of Chalkazza?"
Then he considers for a bit more.
"Hmmmm, maybe I should refer to myself in the third person lot. Not use first person pronouns as often. And when I do, perhaps I should say we more than I. Make Kanwulf seem a bit haughty. And use Shistavanen often. We are an isolationist people, even most out going Shistavanens tend to spend more time around fellow Shistavanens. That doesn't exactly aid our reputation in the galaxy as most of us do tend to come across as a bit cold towards non-Shistavanens. Only willing to work with them when we have to.
"I've always been a part of the minority of the minority. Shistavanens who are willing to befriend non-Shistavanens and spend time with them. More open to them than the normal isolationsist attitude our people carries. But Kanwulf needs to be more like the typical Shistavanen in the galaxy. Keeps company with non-Shistavanens because he has to, not because he wants to." _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

As Zinn and Takli work on the ship, Zinn continues to consider the issue of Tiny's prosthetic not fitting so well. He raises his concerns to Takli, talking the problem out with the Verpine. "I know medicine is not your area of expertise," he says, "however, since you are gifted with a technical mind, I was hoping you might be able to help me come up with some way to make Tiny's prosthetic fit him better. I've suggested padding between the end of his arm and the device, to provide a way for the entire base of the prosthetic to be in contact with something; the problem is that we didn't have a dedicated prosthetic tech working on it, so it doesn't conform properly to his stump. I'm hoping that, between the two of us, we can either improve it for him, or somehow fashion him a new one that fits him better. He's been through enough without having to constantly be concerned about the karking thing falling off right when he's in the middle of something...not to mention how it's gonna chafe him until he builds up some callouses. I don't want him getting an infection just as we get started on this mission." |

"Have begun work with Tiny regarding arm. Believe improvements are forthcoming. Dispel concern: many prosthetics require extensive alignment, adjustment, before comfort is achieved. Primary concerns are time, facilities: cannot make sidewalks without duracrete." |

Takii had indeed worked on the "Prosthetic" that Tiny had started constructing. The thing appears to be more of a mace, then an actual arm with a fist. Tiny's limited abilities managed to simply sculpt the piece of starship armor into a semi conical state, with a lump at one end. For fitting to his arm Tiny simply hammered that end in so it would be slightly concave. There was little measurements being made.
For a Verpine who can see microscopic details there is much work to be done. Luckily Takii is able to take high resolution pictures to form a 3d image of Tiny's stump. From there he is able to eyeball the contours with more precision then most can do with accurate measurements. Unfortunately these tasks distract him until the next afternoon when Garolf had asked that everyone meet in the empty hangar bay for a trial run.
Rownn spends most of this time sleeping, as he is still quite tired from his training session with his new master.
Roth spends his time going over the ship, and takes it out for a quick spin over night once he establishes that it seems safe to fly. To help with some of the piloting tasks Roth brings Anala with him. While she does not know much about flying, after a quick 30 minute crash course on the 4 screens he needs her to monitor allowing him to focus on flying. The ship is sluggish compared to his X-Wing, but handles much better. He is able to take tighter corners, but that might just be because it only is able to go about half the speed before red-lining. The ship does not fly smoothly in its current state though. The controls are a bit sluggish to respond, and it does not make left turns as well as it makes right turns. From your guesswork to its innards, you estimate it can take more punishment then your X-Wing could. All in all not bad for a fighter, but more similar to a bomber then a highly maneuverable fighter.
------------------------------
Around 1300 the next day Garolf has opened up the boxes of training rounds and tested them out in his weapon a few times. They fire and look exactly the same, but they dont hit with nearly as much punch when hitting materials. After a quick test of shooting himself in the foot to know what it feels like before shooting his friend he determines that the shot hits about as hard as an electric fence. Stings like hell, but wears off after a few seconds.
As everyone gathers he details the plan. Rownn will stand at one side of the bay, and about 30 meters away the rest of the team will stand in a semi-circle. They will start firing at Rownn one at a time, adding one person in upon Garolf's order. If Rownn lets out a long roar everyone is to stop firing immediately. Zinn is the first one to start and after a few shots Garolf adds another one in for a while. Once everyone has been firing at Rownn (ooc: 5 shots per round) and he is easily deflecting each one Garolf orders everyone to fire twice as fast. Rownn is easily able to deflect every bolt away from his body. For those of you not familiar with Jedi, it is quite impressive to see.
After a quick reload Garolf, with Rownn's permission, instructs everyone to fire as many shots at Rownn as they can in quick succession. He is able to deflect 20+ bolts every few seconds. Rownn is starting to strain at moving his lightsaber fast enough around, usually deflecting 2-3 bolts per lightsaber position. In fact it is Zinn who is the first person to get shot as a stray bolt fired from Anala is hits Zinn in the chest. Everyone stops firing at that and Rownn realizes that in a crowded market he will have to control where every deflection goes to ensure that no innocents are harmed. He will be able to aim at the ground or the sky to make it look random but they will be controlled.
They start firing again slowly increasing their numbers like the first time, this time Rownn controlling where the shots go. Rownn, who is showing off a bit, deflects each bolt fired back at the person who fired, hitting 1 foot in front of their feet each time the same spot. Many of you realize that he is more accurate with deflected bolts then you are at shooting them in the first place! He is able to do this comfortably with about 7 shots every few seconds, but sometimes able to get up to about 9 before one gets through causing him to yelp but not give up.
After about 2 hours of practice they have the trial run nailed down with the safety margin. (ooc: at about 7 per round he is 1D above everyone's blaster roll)
ooc: Garof has to fire more frequently then most to lower his general accuracy, but with practice he can aim at certain spots to help Rownn deflect them easier (eg aid another type action). Garolf is also accurate enough to aim close but not to hit Rownn meaning Rownn does not have to deflect Garolf's bolts.
ooc2: if you are preforming repairs on the ship, let me know which ones you want to do, and ill subtract your available funds, which will limit your repairs in the future. _________________ The Vong have Arrived
