It, along with a friendly and mostly cordial discussion group was what attracted me to the Rancor Pit. I'd like us to stay friendly and cordial, but that takes effort on all our parts. This thread started out fine, but now it just makes me disappointed and sad. |
I second this sentiment. Especially as the original author of this particular thread...I never would have posted the query if I had known it was going to result in such infantile behavior.
This is a board designed for those who love, and want to propagate, WEG's Star Wars D6 system. Although we're all of a like mind in this, we are also all from different walks of life, different values, and different mind sets. We have to keep that in mind here, and act like adults. It's a bloody shame when people feel attacked when they haven't been, or feel they have no other recourse but to leave, in order to keep from becoming embroiled in petty banter, when all they really want to do is expand our resources and have a good time.
For those of you who have constructively contributed to this thread, thank you. I appreciate you helping me out, and your sticking to the spirit of this board. |

This is the second person in two weeks who has left (the other one contacted me privately to inform me). Part of the reason why is the amount of attitude they get from other users. It's sad, especially when some of them have been contributors to the PDF projects. |
Its always sad when people feel they have to leave. Ive had people I know leave this forum because of the behaviour of others here (but subsequently returned). Ive been very frustrated myself at some times because of the tone some use. The recipy for me is to leave for a couple of days until things cool down. Also, after a huge 'online misunderstanding' (completely unrelated issue, that got sorted out) I have started to read what people read with a large leeway for possible misinterpretation.. _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |
