I've made some minor modifications to my dice roller. It now displays images of the dice that were rolled, along with some other minor enhancements.
The dice roller will probably look better if you actually go to the site and click on Utilities - Dice Roller. It sizes the pop-up window properly when you do it this way. I couldn't figure out how to properly size the pop-up window on a link in a forum message. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

Does anyone of a program that contains something like an "online dice roller"? Something like the Dice roller on this topic, but which 2 people can use and see simultaneously across the net.
I have a friend who's living in London and since he's going to have internet installed in his room soon, I was thinking we could try to play a gaming session across the net, using webcams. The only glitch is the dice-rolling, in which I don't really trust him rolling over there and telling us what we got. So a program where he would click over there and we could see over here would be perfect. Is there anything like this around? |

I thought the red die was the wild die.
Just tried the thing myself, selecting 4D as a default for me. Couldn't understand at first why I got five dice on the screen instead of four and penalty listed until I had rolled several times and figured out that the program automatically rolls the wild die for both bonuses and penalties. At least that's how it looks to me. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

The Red Die is the Wild Die, the thing is that the program uses some old rule where if you get a 1 on the Wild Die, it rolls again. If this second roll comes out a 1-5, it just subtracts the wild die and the highest die; if it comes a 6, it adds the wild die normally and calls a complication.
I just choose to ignore this second Wild Die roll on mishaps.
By the way, I think I found a solution for the problem I stated above. I've dowloaded a screen-sharing program called VNC, so I can watch my friend's screen as he uses the Rancor Pit Dice Roller. Pretty simple.... |
