So does any one know how much damage a thrown rock would do? How about ranges? And would the range have anything to do with the str of the chr throwing it? |

I'd say damage probably depends partially on the size and weight of the rock, partially on strength, and a little on other conditions. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

I think it depends on the size of the rock... I would let it go anywhere from Str+1 to Str+1D. Ranges would be dependent on the character's strength or lifting. Maybe the Die code per range increment. 2D str gives thrown range of 2/4/6, gm may add or subtract based on the size of the rock. Smaller rock, longer range, less damage. _________________ RR

Yea I was thinking a 3m tall esoomian with 7d str and 9d lifting throwing rocks the size of bowling balls. Still think str+1d and range 9/18/24? |

You might consider a law of diminishing returns on short and medium range, though. Just because you can throw harder doesn't make your target any bigger.

Makes sense... I'm kind of perturbed about a rock doing as much damage as an E-web... but I guess there's a reason why the Empire hates and fears aliens. _________________ RR

I loved how white wolf handled throwing ranges for a lot of stuff... based it on strength.
3 yards per point for some, up to 5 for others. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Well, I figure about 20D Death Star Scale.
Just get a big enough one and drop it from orbit. |
