One vessel I've been wanting to use in a campaign is a ship from the Serenity RPG that I wrote up some SW D6 stats for: the Aces and Eights.
IIRC, it has 300 metric tons cargo capacity with a large RO/RO boarding ramp, plus room for a light shuttle or airspeeder in a dorsal docking bay, and the ship has a detailed deck plan in the Serenity book. All it took was throwing some stats on it... which I seem to have lost in a computer crash last year... Damn you, Darth System Error.[/img] _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. I like that ship too. You going to keep the gambling area in the ship? Perfect ship for a group containing a smuggler and gambler. |

Depends on the group, I guess. Not much point having a dedicated gambling room on a ship if there are no gamblers. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. In the game I'm starting soon I will be using a Deepwater freighter. I found some really nice deckplans for it.I like the 8 individual cabins. It's not the sexiest looking thing but neither is the falcon imo. In the past I'v also used the venerable Berloz twice. |

Ghtroc 720, decent ship, not too expensive, not hard to mod. Plus its symmetrical. All the haphazard lines on other ships mess with my ocd, lol. |

This is one of my favourites. It's a home brewed ship.

Very nice Orgaloth, I would imagine that ship perfect for some eccentric type.
good bit of fire power on it too for an antique. |

I like the look of the ship, though I would be tempted to make it some kind of military drop ship rather than a freighter. The various wings and weapons that project give it a very military look to me.
If this is a freighter, then this must be a typo: Quote: | Cargo Capacity: 5 metric tons |

Yes it is, sorry. It's 135, not 5.
This is the history I did for it
Quote: | The Redemption
4000 years ago Cinnagar built a freighter based upon the popularity of the Koros Spaceworks Interceptor … it was short lived. Looking for all intents and purposes like the Interceptor, the Cinnagar Freighter is twice the size. Unfortunately for Cinnagar, their freighter wasn’t as popular as the Interceptor. Too many people saw the design as a drawback. It was just too similar to a fighter, and it’s bad for business if your freighters are shot down, because planetary defense thought it was a scout for an invasion.
This ship also boasts the strange, arachnid design. The four wings are tipped with the same laser cannon as the Interceptor, and the Ion cannon also rests under the Cockpit. As stated the major difference is in the size, also the fact that it has a hyperdrive. The Redemption is one of these vehicles.
The ship itself was over three times older then it’s last captain. Before him, The Redemption was used in a small freighter company. After too many complaints from various pilots (who kept getting shot at), it was sold in to private hands. It passed through several owners some were legitimate business men others not so. It’s last owner, Vor’en, brought it from an Impound auction (the previous owner was doing time for smuggling and kidnapping). Vor’en spent some time working on the ship to get it to almost how he liked it. He’s outfitted the cargo bay with cells and the ship could last slightly longer in space without needing the Consumables being replaced. The cabins are extremely bare, in fact one of them is completely filled with electronics. The other has just a bunk. Vor’en’s own cabin was a little more luxurious, seeing as he literally lived aboard “The Redemption”. He also added a third weapon. Hating having people dog him he installed a hidden, single laser cannon that fires backward.
Something happened all those millennia ago. For the ship was found dead in space by a Dresselian escapee, Orgaloth. His own vessel badly damaged, Orgaloth used the last of the Lambda’s power core to recharge “The Redemption”. Luckily there was no damage to the archaic ship, and he was able to limp it to Boonta. |

Our group just got into a million cred debt over a CEC corvette.
We've got collatoral in assets though. Freighter cpt. just about owns his mad modded YT1300, got a Jedi with a KSE Pinnace sporting bosha c'hi engines (*these are not the banned engines modification you're looking for*), a mashi horansi with a P38, disguise artist with a Y-Wing.
We found pretty consistently once you've got a tough alien/mix party with powered armour, or jedi in the group, and get up serious CP, the limiter on starships is the ability to crew them, credits is just no issue. |

If I wanted a Corellian Corvette, I'd play a Privateer Captain (he gets one as part of his starting equipment). _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
