Hello everyone. I came across the Rancor Pit a year or two ago but never joined the forums until now. I'm a long time gamer (30+ years). I started playing Star Wars back in 1992 in college. Like most my campaign was a Rebellion group. That changed in 1998 when I stared a new group filled with Imperials. That was my most successful campaign. We started just after Kyp Durron started the supernova in Carida's sun. The players, a TIE Fighter Pilot and an ISB Agent, was part of a group of refugees that managed to escape on a Carrack Cruiser. From there they hooked up with an Imperial Captain, a NPC, and an Imperial Smuggler. More players came in over the years and we had an Imperial Scout, Imperial Commando, Imp GAV commander, Imp Alien Assassin. I twisted the published adventures around for an Imperial group. The last big series we did was the Kathol Sector in which we took control of it. And also the Far Orbit Project. Imperial raidars on New Republic shipping. The players loved it. I used a modified set of advantages/disadvantages from TSR's Top Secret so that added variety to the characters. The Imperial Smuggler had a 4 pt. Enemy (the highest) so I chose Han Solo for him. That cost him (and the other players) a few times during some adventures. Unfortunately the group broke up a few years ago. We're spread across North Carolina with one in Tennessee and another in South Carolina. I'm actually taking a job outside the country so I'll be the furthest away from the others but we had fun. I'm glad to have joined this group and hope to share memories as well as ideas. Another thing, I do not play the newer Star Wars rpgs. The d6 system was the best system for Star Wars. It was easy and fast to get started and the action kept going. |

Hello, everyone! I posted in the Adventures Thread. I joined the site three and a half years ago and have lurked off and on, but never posted before this weekend. I have played a variety of RPG's in my time from 1981 - 1990 and 2000 - present.
I enjoyed playing a little bit of the Introductory Box Set years ago and wanted to play some more when the time was right. That time is now, as I have three players who want to get into it. Our first session was this past Saturday and it was splendid. Here's hoping for more. I'll be mining the forums even more now to get more ideas, tips, etc. |

Welcome to the Forums, and enjoy the mining. I would be hard pressed to think of a Star Wars RPG related topic the Forum hasn't covered, and I'm sure there are some real gems to be found here. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Hi, I'm new here.
I stumbled upon the d6 Star Wars RPG recently and want to try to find out more about how to run games using the system. I've read only the 1st edition. I hope to be able to learn many ideas from here.
Cheers |

Welcome Seanlaoch!
I think you will find many good ideas here. Though I don't have first edition myself, there are folks on the forum that use it.
