Dævon tries to get to the bridge without holding onto anything, relying on the Force to help him.

Lurk and Shadow
As the ship straightens out and falls in behind the fighters, neither Lurk nor Shadow can believe how close they are to the enemy. After a brief moment of surprise, both men instinctively depress the trigger, unleashing two shots a piece. Amazingly all four shots hit home, though Shadow expected more damage than what he saw. As he watches, smoke begins trailing from the nearest fighter. Moments later, the two fighters break formation and take evaisive maneuvers. Lurk, seeing the shots hit home and also surprised that the fighter was not immediately destroyed, does not manage to find his missing deathstick.
Bri'tan
Bri'tan keeps the Nerf hot on the tail of the rear fighteter, and frowns as nothing happens for a moment. A second later, the Greased Nerf's guns come to life and Bri'tan sees four shots range out, all hitting the rear fighter. Bri'tan then watches as the two fighters take evasive action. The lead fighter breaks hard right and the trailing fighter, now trailing smoke from the engines, pulls up and to the left. As Bri'tan is about to make a move, Daevon enters and asks, "Anything I can do?"
Daryn
Daryn toggles over to a different comm channel, and in reply to his question, does not hear a voice coming through his headset. Instead, he hears a weak pinging sound, which he recognizes as a distress/locator signal. Daryn immediately recognizes it as a Republic signal and can tell that it is coming from the planet below.
Kage
Turning his attention from the battle taking place, Kage notices that the hyper-space coordinates are now complete. He also notices the scanners pick up another ship hanging out in the distance, maybe 8 clicks away. Much to his annoyance, he notices yet another member of the crew enter the cockpit area, as Daevon asks: "Anything I can do?" |

Daryn speaks up as he realizes the source of the signal. "Captain, I'm picking up a faint distress signal from the planet below. It is definitely a Republic signal; it's possible it could be some or all of our missing crew. We can't leave this area before we check it out." |

Kage twitters to Bri'tan that the jump coordinates are laid in and ready for use.
Code: | Hyperspace jump calculated to location immediately outside of system; hyperdrive ready to engage.
Fourth vessel detected approximately 8 kilometers distant. Commencing sensor analysis on second, third, and fourth vessels detected. |
Kage begins to run a focused sensor scan on the newly detected vessel, then trains the sensor suite on the fighters. Anyone looking at the sensors station behind him will see the results of his scan flashing across the screen if they're quick enough.
[OOC: Two actions; first action is to run a Focus sensor scan on the location where the new vessel was detected (Sensors 4D + 4D Focus bonus - 1D MAP = 7D to roll). Second action is to run another Focus scan on the area where the fighters are (same figures; 7D to roll). Specifically, Kage is trying to identify the make and model of the ships in question and the state they're currently in.] _________________ Arek | Kage |

"I just hit him twice, what are these training cannons?" Shadow says in disgust as he continues to try to hone in on the evading fighters and continues to fire (once a round) to finish them off. |

Bri'tan pushes the throttle forward and breaks towards the damaged fighter. He tries to bring the Greased Nerf up beside the damaged fighter so the gunners can have another shot. With his attention focused on the battle around him, he completely shuts out the activity behind him on the bridge. |

"I hear ya," Lurk replied to Shadow's observations as he plugged away at the fighters.

Bri'tan
Bri'tan easily brings the Nerf around on the tail of the damaged fighter and is quickly gaining ground on the enemy.
Bri'tan focuses in on the action, noticing but not reading Kage's message scroll past on the screen. He also hears Daryn mention something about a distress signal.
Kage
Kage focuses the sensors on the distant ship, but sees only scrambled and incoherent data scroll across the screen. Kage emits a low whistle as he deduces that the unkown ship must be using high-end sensor jamming equipment.
Kage beeps to himself, hoping the fighters would prove easier to scan. In moments, data pours across the screen, which Kage quickly saves to the computer. The fighters are of a make and model that does not match anything in the ship's computers. (ooc Kage's scan of the fighters enabled him to get pretty much every last detail of the fighter, which he stored on the computer.)
Daryn
Daryn does not receive an immediate reply from the Bith. Looking to his right, Daryn notices his padawan leaning in, trying to decipher what was happening on the bridge.
Lurk
Lurk begrudgingly admits to himself that the Bith was a half-way decent pilot, as he finds himself with an easy point-blank shot on the damaged fighter. Lurk takes aim and fires two blasts, both of which hit dead-center on the fighter...except that nothing happens.
A second later, Lurk watches as the figher veered right, and Shadow's shot clips the wing, sending the fighter into an uncontrolled spin.
Shadow
Shadow feels the ship turn hard on the tail of one of the fighters. Moments later, an enemy fighter appears in his targeting screen. As Shadow lines up his shot, Lurk opens fire and scores two direct hits, which apparently did no damage. Shadow frowns and takes aim. Just as he depresses the trigger, the enemy fighter veers right. Shadow still hits, but instead of holing out the cockpit, his shot catches the left wing, which sends the fighter spinning out of control. |

Seeing the damaged fighter spin out of control, Bri'tan eases up on the throttle, bringing the Greased Nerf into a slow arc back towards the second fighter. He checks the scan readout as he tries to line up the ship for another pass at the remaining fighter.
(Bri'tan would want to know where all the ships are in relation to each other. Friend / Foe. If any of the larger ships are close enough, Bri'tan might consider using them for cover from the fighter, even if the larger ship is hostile, . . . . ) |

"Ah c'mon!" Lurk slammed his fist on the targeting screen. "Grakkin' spudgun! What's the point of all that fancy flyin' if all you wan' us ta do is kiss'em!?!"

Noticing no discernible reaction from Bri'tan, Daryn tries another avenue. "Kage, when you have a chance, please tag the distress signal coming from the planet below on our charts. We will have to check it out when all this is finished."
He then looks sidelong at the comm console, wondering if he could possibly use it as a weapon. Getting an idea, he fiddles with the controls until he can come up with a blast of white noise. When he achieves this, he dials for a tight-beam transmission to the second fighter, turning the transmission power and volume all the way up. He makes sure the transmission is not being sent to anyone other than the fighter before sending. He hopes to at least distract the pilot for several crucial seconds, if not incapacitate him from the sudden cacophony of noise in the pilot's ears...

"Hey Lurk, did you set yours to stun or something?" Shadow laughs, as he feels a little more confident with his last hit. He attempts to keep the spinning fighter in his sights and tries to finish him off. "I think throwing your flask at him might do more damage." |

Noting Daryn's request, Kage beeps in the affirmative and begins triangulating the location of the distress signal so that he can record its geographic location. Hearing Lurk's comment about the lack of damage his ventral cannon is doing, the droid resolves to begin closely monitoring that system after he is done with his current task.
[OOC: Just one action this round; triangulating the source of the distress signal. Since we're moving, this should be fairly straightforward if the distress signal is stationary. If it's mobile, it should still work, but it will be more difficult, and take more time to get a fix.] _________________ Arek | Kage |

Bri'tan
Watching the damaged fighter continue on it's sideways spin toward the planet, Bri'tan brings the Greased Nerf back around toward where the battle started. With hands firmly gripping the controls, he feels the ship slow down.
A quick glance at the console brings a surprised expression to the Bith. The other fighter was speeding away from the group, making a bee-line toward an undidentified ship hanging in the distance. Off to his right, Bri'tan sees Kron's Revenge, which appears to be regaining some of its power.
(ooc - let me know if you need a clearer picture of where the ships are)
Daryn
Daryn successfully sends his transmission to the second fighter, which seems to hang in the air for a moment, then suddenly takes off at full speed away from the Greased Nerf.
Shadow
Shadow grins at his own wise-crack to Lurk and tries to track the out of control fighter, snapping off a quick shot that sails high and right. Before he can unleash anymore firepower, the Greased Nerf spins around and heads back the way it came, pulling Shadow's view momentarily away from the fighter.
Kage
Kage beeps happily to himself as he has no problem locating the origin of the transponder signal. In a matter of seconds, he triangulates the position and stores the coordinates in the computer. He then turns his attention to the problem with Lurk's guns. |
