Glancing at Kage's message, Bri'tan starts the sequence of powering up the shields.
Looking back out the viewport, he throws the Greased Nerf into a cork screw as he pushes the bulky ship to full throttle. "Shields?" Bri'tan mumbles, "They'll have to hit us first." |

Daryn replies to the freighter. "We might be able to help you out. Am I speaking to Kron?" |

With Lurk's question still hanging in the air, the Greased Nerf speeds up quickly and begins rotating on it's axis as a few green blaster bolts go flying by.
Daryn
For a moment, Daryn hears silence on the other end of the line. Then the voice came back: "No, this ain't Kron...but if you help us out, I can see about introducing you."
Bri'tan
As Bri'tan puts the hammer down, a cocky grin creeps onto his face. He had no stomach for combat, but he did like showing off his skill in the cockpit.
Lurk
Hearing no reply from the bridge, Lurk keeps an eye on his quarry, that is until the Nerf accelarates and starts spinning in a corkscrew manuever, suddenly slamming Lurk back into his chair. |

"Krok sulga!" There was no way Lurk was gonna let someone shoot at him. With no answer to his question his preservationist instincts kicked in and he opened fire. "Keep it steady, Jabba, this ain't no rodeo!"
___________
OCC: One shot at the left fighter; he doesn't expect to hit from this range on this so-called flight pattern, but it's better to make the guy dodge than let him have an easy shot. _________________ Giblet Blizzard |

Lurk
Lurk manages to fire off a shot, but has no idea if it hits home, as his view spins away from the enemy fighter.
Shadow
Shadow hears a blast fire off from Lurk's gun and watches the red bolt fly between the two enemy fighters. Moments later, he loses visual as the ship continues its corkscrew manuever.
Kage
As the droid waits for the last 15 seconds to click away on the navcomputer, he beeps happily as he sees the shields finally charging up.
Deavon
Daevon cannot seem to enter the bridge area at the right time, no sooner had he entereed the bridge, but Bri'tan throws the ship into another crazy maneuvr, sending the Covallon sprawling across the floor yet again. He is uninjured, but certainly losing his interest in space travel. |

Daryn opens a channel to Lurk. "Would you know Kron's crew by voice? I can have you talk to them and make sure they are who you say they are. Make it fast...you have about tgirteen seconds. Patching you through...now," he adds, enabling Lurk to talk to the ship. |

"That sure looked like they were shooting at us to me. That's good enough for me, now its on," Shadow says confident that it is time to start clearing the skies. Shadow fully powers up the weapons and takes and chance he gets to fire off a round or two at the fighters, even if it is an unaimed snap shot. |

Seeing the flash of light from the Greased Nerf's guns, Bri'tan angrily hits the ships intercom, "Hold your fire for a second, you'll have your shot!" Feeling the adrenaline flooding his system, he grumbles, "Hold on." Releasing the ships intercom, he takes hold of the control yoke with both hands, his pinched face strained with concentration as he approaches the two hostile fighters.
(OOC: Bri'tan is going to continue his little game of chicken until he is almost on top of the two fighters, only altering course enough to avoid being an easy target. When he gets near the fighters, he's going to throw the ship into full reverse, flipping the ship 90 digrees at the last moment to give the Nerf's guns the easiest shot possible. As soon as the fighters are past, he's going to flip the ship end-for-end and try to drop in behind the fighters. Of course, this requires the fighters to "blink" first, otherwise, our little story is going to end in a really pretty fireball. ) |

"Little...busy....here!..." Lurk answered Medallea watched the stars spin wildly about, trying hard to not let the vertigo overwhelm him. Damn spacefights. He'd take a solid bar-room brawl anyday.

Daryn
Daryn hears Lurk's rushed reply: "Little....busy...here!" He notices that Lurk does not answer the communication and as he looks back at the console, he notices that second light still blinking.
Bri'tan
Bri'tan draws every last power he can from the engines, sending the Greased Nerf barreling in toward the two starfighters. The two as yet unidentified fighters snap off several shots each, but most fly by harmlessly as Bri'tan jinks the ship lightly from side to side. The distance on the range finder rapidly dialed down toward zero.
Then, just as a collision seemed inevitable, the two fighters pealed off. Anticipating the move, Bri'tan flips the ship around and in a manner that would have seemed impossible for this type of ship, dropped the Nerf right in behind one of the fleeing starfighters. (ooc - That was some roll, by the way. 3 6's on the wild die.)
Shadow
Gritting his teeth and gripping down on the weapon controls, Shadow focuses in on an enemy starfighter. Bri'tan had the ship on an obvious crash course with the fighters. With adrenaline pumping and the intensity wratcheting up a few notches, Shadow takes a deep breath and fires off a shot. The laser nearly misses the fighter on the right, but before Shadow can get another shot away, the opposing ships break formation and Bri'tan throws the Nerf into an end-over-end maneuver that momentarily pins Shadow in his chair and leaves him gasping for air.
Moments later, Shadow notices the Nerf drop in behind one of the fighters, giving his gunners a perfect shot.
Lurk
Lurk struggles to get a target lock as the three ships speed in on a collision course with each other. Then just as he is about ready to fire, Bri'tan pulls off another crazy move with the ship, causing Lurk to spit out his last death stick and slamming him into the side of his chair.
Just a few seconds later, the ship rights itself and Lurk looks up, seeing an enemy fighter right in his crosshairs. |

Bri'tan feels a sense of reserved pleasure as he sees how well his maneuver plays out. Dropping in behind the two fighters, he does his best to keep things lined up for the two gun turrest as long as he can. |

"Nnnnggggghhhhrrr," Lurk groaned. The gunbay needed better seatbelts. And sick bags. He looked up, saw the green targeting display, and with one hand squeezed hard on the trigger as the other groped for his wayward deathstick.
_____
occ: two shots if it's point blank or short range, one if it's longer, at the single target.

"Forget it," Daryn says, deciding to trust his companion. They would never form a cohesive unit if he was always second guessing those under his command.
Noticing the blinking light, Daryn answers the new hail. "This is the Greased Nerf. To whom am I speaking?" |

"Now we got them!" Shadow says as he hammers down on the trigger firing at what he observes as the fighter on his side of the ship, assuming Lurk will sort his side. (One shot at the fighter on his side, unless it is supper close range then two, same deal as Lurk). |
