Has anyone ever made a creature handler. I let a new player roll one up. He made skills like creature control (for commanding a pet), creature training (to teach it new skills like upping its search), and he also went bio-engineer to grow creatures. He made up DNA extraction skill as well as genetic manipulation skill. If anyone has done somethign like this, I would like to provide him with incite or ideas. Thank you

I've made a skill like that in the past. I may have even made a post about it years and years ago, lets see if I can dig it up.

Thanks for the links. I like the three successful rolls of beast handling vs. orneriness to teach a trick and the list of tricks provided by Ray was great. |

Good times, I wonder what Ray is up to these days.
I'd actually forgotten about the requirement to reinforce commands to make them stick. I'll have to re-add that into my current games because I still like the idea. _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

I have beast Training, a companion skill under Tech to beast riding.
TECHNICIAL:
Beast training; With this skill a trainer can reduce a creatures Orneriness code, by breaking it in. This takes 6 Months and requires 4 moderate Beast training rolls to do. Alternately it can allow a trainer to teach specific tricks to a creature. The teaching of tricks requires a difficult roll and 2 months per trick to be taught.
Specialties;- Specific animals, tricks _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
