Hey,
just in case you want to give your players something else than the usual YT-1300. Here you are stats and a colored (but yet not labeled) deckplan for the YT-1930 - in my eyes one of the coolest ships in the Star Wars universe.
Maybe you'll notice that the ship below has been slightly modified. The captain's quaters got a huge transparisteel viewport - at the cost of one of the escape pods (don't tell the Imps )
The stats of the ship are my adaptation of the D20 stats from WotC. Enjoy!

Capsule: The ubiquitous YT line of freighters was one of the most successful series of space transports ever developed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. Dozens of examples can be found throughout the galaxy. Although the YT-1300 is the most famous design, other YT designs may actually be somewhat superior. One of those most commonly touted as the height of the YT-series is the YT-1930, which came into production shortly before the Emperor disbanded the Senate.
The YT-1930 has at its core the same saucer section that identifies most YT designs - it’s just as adaptable here as in other ships of the YT line. However, it places its cockpit in the center of the saucer section (between the loading mandibles) rather than off to one side, as most YT designs do. It also breaks from the saucer design toward the rear of the ship. Instead, two large wedge-shaped cargo areas allow a YT-1930 to carry twice the cargo of a YT-1300 without sacrificing speed or durability. Most YT-1930s come equipped with a single laser cannon turret operated from a gun well, but many owners soon upgrade to more powerful weaponry.
The unusual design of the YT-1930, including its expanded cargo space, makes it an attractive ship for a wide array of demanding pilots.
Cheers

Then only problem I see with the stats is that it has far too much cargo capacity for a 35 meter craft. Most of them only have 60-75 tons so 120-150 would be more realistic. Look at comparative length cargo vessels for a more realistic sum. Ignore the nitpick if you want ;P The rest is unholy cool!.
the design is killer!
and it has inspired me to draw. More to follow _________________ There are alot of cool places in the world. Alaska is one of them.

Well, the design is from West End Games. A heavily modified version of the YT-1930 can be found in Wretches hives of scum and villainy". I just came up with what I think could be the general outline of the ship.
However 200 metric tons is what both WEG as well as WotC came up with. Personally I agree with them as a YT-1300's cargo bay is much smaller.
Cheers

maybe so
I was just thinking for balance anyway
I DO like the design
Edit: I forgot to ask.. is that cockpit above/below the main hull for visibility, or is it in the middle exactly for protection? _________________ There are alot of cool places in the world. Alaska is one of them.

As far as I know it's in the middle. I guess somewhere there are some exterior pics of that ship... _________________ Hey, this is not my fault! |
